WOLVERINE INTRODUCES NEW OUTDOOR COLLECTION FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2013
ROCKFORD, Michigan: Wolverine – the Michigan-based maker of rugged and comfortable footwear since
1883 – is proud to introduce the Spring/Summer 2013 Outdoor Collection for men and women, including
more than 20 new styles that embody the high quality and durability for which the brand is known.
New styles for spring include the Sentinel. Made in Wolverine’s Big Rapids, Michigan, factory, every
component of the boot is made in the USA. The Sentinel’s upper is cut from the renowned Horween Leather
Company’s BackBay full grain leather, which is waterproof, lightweight and well-oiled, making it extremely
durable and long lasting even in the harshest conditions. A GORE-TEX waterproof lining guarantees that feet
stay dry, keeping water out and wicking away moisture. A Mutant polyurethane footbed has performance
arch support, and a Wolverine ForwardFlex nylon insole board offers new-age comfort. The ForwardFlex
insole provides firm support from the heel to the ball of the foot, for support and protection when carrying
heavy packs, while the soft flex through the toe area has a broken-in feeling from the very first wear.
Wearers can also depend on the Vibram Bifida rubber outsole for traction and a solid rubber rand to protect
high-wear areas from scuffs and scrapes. Wrapped up with an articulated lacing system that locks the foot in
place and top closed eyelets to prevent snagging, the Sentinel is a high performance boot make with quality
materials and functional, thoughtful design.
The Quasar wind hiker is another new style for men and women. Featuring patented Wolverine ICS™
(Individual Comfort System) technology, wearers can personalize their level of comfort for how they walk by
adjusting the gel disc under the Pulsar’s performance OrthoLite® footbed. A synthetic and mono-mesh upper
is breathable and features a coated rand for added durability. A Vibram rubber lug outsole with performance
arch stabilizers provides dependable traction, and an OrthoLite footbed offers extra cushion with each step.
Available in Raspberry and Light Grey for women, and Mountain Blue and Grey for men, the Quasar is backed
by Wolverine’s 30-day comfort guarantee.

Sentinel – Wolverine Made in the USA Hiker
The Wolverine Sentinel hiking boot is made by the hardworking men and women in Wolverine’s Big Rapids, Michigan,
factory. Every component of the boots is made in America—from the Vibram USA outsole to the Horween leather upper,
for a boot with the finest materials, construction and American pride. The Sentinel’s upper is made from waterproof, fullgrain BackBay leather from the renowned Horween Leather Company. The leather is lightweight and well oiled, making
