Inaugural Archway Honor Run
Nearly 150 runners and walkers joined The Archway staff in honoring our
fallen service members in the inaugural Archway Honor Run despite
spitting rain and overcast skies.
“The inaugural Honor Run was a blast. We had a ton of participants that
made the day fun and memorable. They didn’t let the potential for bad
weather ruin the fun,” said Event Coordinator Kara Stevens.
Participants had the option of running or walking the two mile course
around The Archway. They were also asked to provide the name of a service
member they were running in honor of. Those names were scrolled through
on a television in The Archway food court.
Stevens said, “We should never forget about our service members who have
given their lives to defend our freedoms. This event gave folks an extra
opportunity to not only remember their loved ones who served, but also
share their stories.”
Stay up to date on #archwaysummeroffun
The Archway has declared the summer of 2015 to be known as the
#archwaysummeroffun.
“Make sure to check www.archway.org on a regular basis to see what fun
event The Archway is hosting next. We want people to be sure they don’t
miss out on an opportunity to create new memories with us at The
Archway,” said Archway spokesanimal, Archibald “Archie” Bison.
Archie also said that those who are interested can also follow The Archway
on social media. “We always have fun pictures and event updates on our
accounts,” Archie said.

Archway hosts DHS naturalization
ceremony
#archiesadventures
Nearly 80 immigrants became naturalized U.S. citizens
in a ceremony that packed the event room at The
Archway on April 30.
Archway guests can now track where Archie’s visited all
over this great big globe.
Kearney Mayor Stan Clouse gave a brief speech to the
immigrants in which he stated the pride felt by him
and the community to be part of the special event and
welcoming them as citizens.
From the gentle shores of the Florida Keys to an African
safari, a journey through the Panama Canal to the
battlefields of the American Civil War, Archie has
ventured across this amazing world and has stories to
tell.
Clouse also noted the symbolism of The Archway and
how it represented the migration of the west and how
Nebraska was settled, in part, by immigrants. Clouse
said, “It’s very appropriate that this naturalization ceremony took place in Kearney.”
But he needs your help to visit as many awesome destinations as possible to add to his long list of unforgettable memories. As pictures and stories come in, we’ll be
sure to share them on social media and on our new
#archiesadventures map.

Americana that spans several generations. These types
of car shows bring together different generations in a
fun and relaxed environment,” said Marketing Coordinator Jace Robinson.
