A Big Step Towards
Reaching Our Goal!
WPRZ Will Be At
“Culpeper Day”
Saturday, May 4th!
What a blessing it was to hear from so many old and new friends!
WPRZ is growing and with the one-time gifts received and the
pledges made during Spring Sharathon 2013 added to our total, we
are now anticipating $152,000.00 in operating funds for the year. We
still have another $88,000.00 to go to fully meet expenses for the
year, so we’ll continue working hard and praying for more missions
support from local churches, business sponsors, and families who will
say, “Yes!” and generously
support the station! Thank you to
everyone who called in or mailed
in a gift or pledge! It is because of
you that WPRZ is on the air!
Stop by and see us at Culpeper Day 2013 sponsored by the
Culpeper Ruritan Club Foundation. This is a fun-filled day for
the whole family in downtown Culpeper. Come by and meet
the staff, enter to win a fabulous WPRZ “Get Ready”
Preparedness Gift basket, and get a free balloon for the
kids! We’ll have the WPRZ Canopy set up near The Depot at
the end of East Davis Street. Just look for the “God Loves
You” balloons to find us. We’d love to meet you so please
come! Pick up a WPRZ Window Decal, too, put it on your car
and help “Get The Word Out” that WPRZ is on the air!! We’ve
got some other little free gifts for you plus a new brochure you
can give to your friends to let them know about the station. So
please stop by...we’ll be looking for you!

We were especially touched and
inspired by 8 year old Gwen
Yowell. She brought in $115.00 in
wrapped coins she had been saving
to buy a pony. Her special gift was
immediately matched by Dorsey
Comer of Rochelle. Sarah Hayes has
offered to give Gwen a free pony ride
at Tranquility Farm for her generosity
and sacrificial gift.
Kandy Flippo was in charge of the
phones and did a great job keeping
track of the gifts and pledges!

WPRZ Window Decals are a great way to help “Get The Word
Out” that WPRZ is on the air and is ready to be a blessing in
their life!!! This photo was taken by Shannon Pollard of a car
in Manassas with a WPRZ Window Sticker on its bumper. If
this is your car, then please call us and we’ll send you a little
surprise gift to show our appreciation for helping to “Get The
Word Out”! Got a WPRZ decal on your car? Then send us a
photo via mail or email and you’ll get a little gift too! Thank
YOU for helping “Get The Word Out”!! Photos become the
property of WPRZ and may be posted on Facebook. When
you see another car with a WPRZ Window Decal on it, take a
photo, and send it in, then you will get a little surprise gift and
the owner of the car will get a little free gift if he or she calls us
and lets us know that it’s their car. All photos of cars with

WPRZ Awareness Campaign Is Underway!
Volunteers are Needed!
We have found that many people in our coverage area still do not know about the station! So,
with limited funds available for mailings, the most cost effective and personal way to get the
word out is via the telephone! So far, the results have been great and people who didn’t know
about WPRZ before are thanking the callers for letting them know! If you would like to help us,
please call Sally at 727-9779 and she’ll get you started! The person who makes the most calls,
after all calls have been made, will win dinner for two at Foti’s Restaurant!!
A Visit from The Churchmen!
On the April 21st edition of Sunday Morning
Bluegrass, host Charlie Smith and Carol were
blessed by a visit from The Churchmen! The group
had been in concert on Saturday night at
Stevensburg Baptist Church. Charlie said "They are
a great group of guys and it's obvious that they all
share a genuine love of the Lord. I'm predicting that
the group will be moving up to a whole new level in
the gospel bluegrass world with the release of their
new CD in a few weeks." The group played live on
the air and are the first group to do so in our new
main studio!
