Sunday March 24: Pridefest 2002 - We are
approaching that wonderful time of the year were
we show our Pride in who we are as a community.
Pridefest 2002 will be held on
Sunday March 24th at Bryant Park in the city
of Lake Worth. We are organizing a parade down
Lake Avenue in downtown Lake Worth, culminating
at Bryant Park for an all day celebration.
Volunteering can be the best nd most fun way to
show your Pride. So “strut your proud stuff” and

Thursday, March 28: Sister Speak- We
value writers/performers of all levels and styles at
this spoken-word open-mic. This is a fun, relaxed
atmosphere. Last Thursday of the month at FREEZ,
909 E. Cypress Creek Rd. The doors open at 8 p.m.
and performances start at 8:30 p.m. Admission is
$5, and $3 for performers. All proceeds benefit a

Neil Simon’s musical hit of the 60s, and an adaptation

& Sadie”- This “great show” is based
on a true story of a courageous Jewish
mother who almost single-handedly
raised 13 children. When Fanny
became ill and needed a companion,
her children brought in Sadie, a

fantasy, and memory – offering a series of snapshots
depicting the intoxicating correlations between
memory, truth, dominance, deviant erotic impulses

Works by Hernsza ‘Heza’ Barjon” - A South
Florida resident, this Haitian-born painter blends
tropical expressionism with post-modern and
primitive styles in her work. The exhibit opening
