With the Homecoming Fair over and
Ordinary Time upon us, we have the
opportunity to slow down and re lect
on the many blessings God has
bestowed on us. I am especially
grateful for the success of the Homecoming Fair. The day
began with a glorious Polka Mass at the cemetery Grotto,
celebrating who we are as a parish family, recognizing that
St. Joe’s is more than just our spiritual home; it is a place
where we are always welcomed and loved.
I extend my deepest thanks to irst-time chairpersons Dave
& Lori Carlson who chaired this year’s Fair. Their leadership, hard work, and enthusiasm provided us with a model
of service & devotion. Thanks also go out to all of the
co-chairs and volunteers whose time and talent make our
Fair possible each year, to all who bought raf le tickets,
provided bakery, donated toys and baskets, and came out
to enjoy the day. God bless all of you for your goodness.
We will publish a full accounting of the Fair once all bills
are received and paid.
Wishing you a wonderful week of work and prayer. God
bless you and those you love.
Religious Education Registration in Progress
It’s time to register your children for Religious Education
classes for the 2016—2017 school year. Remember, this is
an eight-year program. Students are required to faithfully attend Religious Education classes from 1st through
8th grade. R. E. tuition paid in full before July 31st will be
at a lower rate. Representatives will be in the front entrance of Church after Masses the weekend of July 30th
& 31st to register your child. Take advantage of this savings and register now. Call the rectory with any questions.
St. Joseph History Books Available
The history books commemorating the 125th Anniversary
of our parish are now available. If you made a patron
donation you will receive a complimentary copy of the
book. Books can be purchased for $25 each.
Books can be picked up in Ferdinand Hall after Masses
this weekend, July 16th & 17th. History books are also
available in the rectory during business hours, Monday
through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.—3:30 p.m., and Friday,
from 7:30 a.m.—noon.

Also, a big thank you to Fr. Tim for his “sell-sell and turn in
your raf le tickets” cheer at each Mass. We thank all of you
who either bought or sold their raf le tickets. It is because
of all of you, the parishioners, alumni and friends, who
purchased raf le tickets that we were able to realize a
pro it of $15,400.
We would like to thank Banana Joe’s Barbershop and
Tezak Funeral Home for printing the raf le tickets. Thanks
to Ostir Physical Medicine and Chiropractic Clinic for paying for the postage to mail the raf le tickets and letters. To
my husband, Bob Vicich, for the stationery and to Bob and
Jean Verbiscer for the small return envelopes—we thank
you!
We also need to thank the rectory staff, Diana, Cherie, and
Judy, for their help with the letters and labels. Thank you
to Scott, Rick, and the Park staff for getting the Park ready

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so
strong, so prompt, before the throne of God, I
place in you all my interests and desires.
Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession,

here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.
Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus
asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes
near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His ine
Head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my
dying breath. St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for
me. Amen.
