(Event Director and Faculty) is a dance artist thrilled by collaboration and collective creation. She has devised and performed multidisciplinary work with a musicians, spoken word poets, actors, fight directors, visual artists/designers, martial artists and artists of diverse cultural backgrounds between the ages of 6­60. Colleen has explored dance in Toronto (Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre), at ECDM in Montreal and in England, where she completed a Masters Degree in Contemporary Dance with distinction at the London Contemporary Dance School. She is an artistic associate with TOES for Dance and the director of the Marty award­winning multidisciplinary performance group Frog in Hand. Performance highlights include the Hillside Inside Festival, where Colleen performed with Canadian bands Hey Rosetta and Stars, Mississauga Waterfront Festival (2013, 2014, 2015), the Off the Wall Project (2014, 2015), Nuit Blanche Toronto (2014), Art Gallery of Ontario’s Massive Party (2013) and Guelph Dance Festival (2015), Mississauga’s Pan Am Games opening ceremonies. Colleen is a certified actor­combatant with Fight Directors Canada (intermediate level), a writer with the Dance Current and a selected participant in the National Ballet of Canada’s Emerging Dance Critics program. Colleen is delighted to be an e­choreographer with Springboard Danse 2015. Sean Howe​

is in his second year at the Juilliard School in NYC, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes. Inspired by his grandpa, Gordie Howe (Mr. Hockey), Sean is always motivated by his family to follow his passions. He is a modern dance alumni of the National YoungArts Foundation, which named him a 2013 U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts and gave him the opportunity to perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Sean has performed the works of Ohad Naharin, Martha Graham, Jose Limon, and FRESH Dance Intensive Page 1 of 5 Loni Landon. Through assisting workshop conventions across the U.S., Sean developed a love for working with students. He began teaching at his home of Ohio, focusing on expanding the minds of dancers and his own choreographic endeavors. His choreography has been showcased in his schools’ main­stage performances, and he continues to explore choreography and teaching as significant areas of study. Sean is honored to be a part of the 2015 FRESH faculty and excited to inspire and be inspired by the dancers he works with! Kristopher Grzella​
has been dancing for 17 years and currently resides in Kitchener, ON. Kris has extensive training in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop, and he has been fortunate to study with noted choreographers throughout Canada and the United States, including Devon Perri, David Cox, Tatiana Parker, Tamina Pollact­Paris, Shawn Desman, Jeff Dimitriou, and Luther Brown. Kris’ hunger for dance education has taken him from the studio to the road attending workshops throughout North America, and he has trained with Sonya Tayeh, Desmond Richardson, Cris Judd, Gil Duldulao, and Brian Friedman at by­invitation­only intensives. Kris’ stage credits include Monsters of Hip Hop (New Jersey), “Hairspray” (KWMP), “What Makes a Man” (The Stratford Festival), Family Channel’s Big Ticket Summer Concert Tour at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, Toronto International Auto Show’s 40th Anniversary Gala, and TD Canada’s Trust The World Gala. His film and television credits include The Hoofers Club (Bravo Fact, Clarence Ford), A Night Like This (Shawn Desman), Luther Brown’s Coca Cola advertisement, and The Next Step (Family Channel, Frank van Keeken). Kristopher is humbled to be a FRESH faculty member and looks forward to sharing his passion with all those who are hungry for the FRESH approach! Sarah Flack​
resides in Guelph, Ontario and began dancing at the age of 4 ­ she has been dancing for 13 years. Sarah started competing at the age of 8 and at the age of 16 decided to become an independent artist while training with Cora Kozaris in her professional training program. Sarah has extensive training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip hop. Sarah continues to expand her training by attending classes and workshops across North America. Most recently Sarah performed at the Choreographer’s Ball in Toronto featuring Cora Kozaris’s work. She had the pleasure of attending The Joffrey School of Ballet Summer Program 2014 in New York City on full FRESH Dance Intensive Page 2 of 5 tuition scholarship. At the end of the program Sarah performed at Symphony Space showcasing the work of numerous choreographer’s from Joffrey. Summer 2015 brought Sarah back to New York City to attend The Alvin Ailey Summer Program on full tuition scholarship. Sarah fell in love with FRESH at the age of 12 and has been hooked on the ‘FRESH’ Approach ever since. Sarah is excited and grateful to have the opportunity to be part of such an amazing team of talented and creative artists. Lilja Rúriksdóttir​

a native of Iceland graduated from the The Juilliard School along with the Hector Zaraspe prize for choreography in 2013. She has performed works by choreographers such as José Limón, Martha Graham, Murray Louis, Raewyn Hill, Eliot Feld, Pam Tanowitz, Nacho Duato, Andrea Miller and Alexander Ekman. She currently dances for the Dash Ensemble in New York under the direction of Gregory Dolbashian. Since graduation she has also worked with Jonah Bokaer, Gallim Dance, Joanna MendlShaw, Bryan Arias, Janis Brenner and Cindy Salgado on various projects. In Fall 2014, she received a generous grant from the Mertz Gilmore Foundation to create new full­evening work for CPR, Brooklyn in collaboration with Chez Bushwick and Jonah Bokaer. She’s had the pleasure of teaching dance in various places in the US and in Iceland and is thrilled to be joining the FRESH team this summer! Thea Lund​
has been dancing since she was 5 years old. Dance has been a huge part in her life and it has also become her passion. She has studied many disciplines of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip­hop and ballroom. Thea has also completed ballet exams up to Advanced 1 RAD and completed all her ADAPT tap and jazz exams. She has won many awards, scholarships and titles for her dance performance, costume design and choreography at dance competitions in Canada and the US. Thea has attended many workshops such as Triple Threat, The Next Step, Costal Dance Rage, Discover Dance, Fresh and Fusion Dance Camp, which enabled her to develop her improvisation and performance abilities. Thea trained at Joffrey Ballet School in New York the summer of 2011 in its Jazz and Contemporary program. She was a member of Calgary’s O2 Dance Company in 2013 and trained with The Source Dance Company in Vancouver 2014­2015. Since living in Vancouver, Thea has worked as the dance director on a live action shoot, a kid’s TV show FRESH Dance Intensive Page 3 of 5 called “Nico Can Dance” airing this fall on BBC kids. She has also performed for numerous showcases and events such as The Main Event: High Five and IYI Dance Inspired show. Scott McCabe​
was born on January 24th, 1991 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. At an early age, he began training at the Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance and continued his training in high school as a dance major in Cawthra Park S.S’s Regional Arts program. In the fall of 2009, Scott began his rewarding journey at The Juilliard School in New York City. Throughout his four years there, Scott had the pleasure of working closely with artists Andrea Miller, Raewyn Hill, Pam Tanowitz, Jarek Cmerek, Ami Schulman, and Danielle Agami, and performing works by Elliot Feld, Ohad Naharin, and William Forsythe. Scott danced as a guest artist with Gallim Dance in “Wonderland” at the Baryshnikov Arts Center during his sophomore year at Juilliard, and during the fall of his senior year Scott performed Pam Tanowtiz’ “Fortune” as part of the Fall for Dance Festival at New York City Center. After graduating from Juilliard in June 2013, Scott relocated to Los Angeles, California to join Ate9 dANCEcOMPANY under the artistic direction of Danielle Agami. Scott is thrilled to be a member of Ate9 and looks forward to a bright and promising future with the company. Scott has been a member of the FRESH family since 2009 and will continue to find pleasure in teaching and being taught by his students at FRESH. Alexander Medeiros​
has been a hip hop dancer since he was six, competing in Canada and the U.S winning numerous awards and dance scholarships. His awards have taken him as far as Paris, France and he continues to compete and participate in dance conventions. He has also studies contemporary and is a member of Jessica Ford’s Contemporary Dance Company “Kalos Collectives”. Alex also began piano lessons at the age of 3 and self­taught the acoustic guitar. He has performed at local coffee shops and venues such as The Opera House and The Danforth Music Hall, as well as for Philipino Cultural Day, and Talent Nation. Alex continues to take vocal lessons under the tutelage of Ian Garrett, known for mentoring artists such as Shania Twain, Shawn Desman, and ’N Sync.
