MARRIAGE
You must meet with a priest at least one year
beforehand to schedule the date and time of
your wedding. The wedding date is finalized
only by meeting with the priest.
SACRAMENT OF THE SICK
Those who are sick, homebound, or in the
hospital are a vital part of our Parish family.
Please call the Parish Office to arrange for the
reception of the Eucharist and Anointing of
the Sick.

On Saturday, October 12th at 11:00am in the
Church, we will be celebrating Mass in the Italian
language. The Mass will serve as part of the
Columbus Day Weekend Activities. We will invite
local Italian-American organizations and our local
priests. The Mass will be followed by espresso and
pastry. We really would love to see a big crowd.
Please come whether you speak Italian or not.
There will be booklets available so that you can
follow the Mass in English. Please mark the date
and plan to be with us!!
The sick are comforted just
knowing that we pray for them.

My Installation Mass, Saturday, October 19th at 5:00pm
Time has a way of escaping us. In fact, the older I get, the more it seems to fly. Hard to believe that I have
been here two months already. I thank my excellent staff and all of you for the warm welcome I have received
and for making this transition really easy. I can tell you that Cortlandt Manor and this great parish already feel
like home.
Therefore, I would like to invite all of you to share my joy at becoming Pastor of Holy Spirit by joining me in a
special celebration on Saturday, October 19th at the 5:00pm Mass. Msgr. George Thompson, our Regional
Vicar and Pastor of St. Patrick’s in Bedford will install me as the 6th pastor of Holy Spirit. I would love to
see you all there.
The Mass will be followed by a Hot and Cold buffet in the PAC to which everyone is also invited.
God Bless you all and the Parish of Holy Spirit.
HOLY SPIRIT GOLF OUTING & DINNER
MONDAY, OCTOBER 7st
Mark your calendar. Get a foursome together now.
Join fellow parishioners and friends at the Hollow
Brook Golf Club on Oregon Road for our 8th annual
building fundraiser. We’ll have lots of food, fun
and prizes, a Silent Auction, Sports Memorabilia,
and a 50/50 raffle. Details, reservation forms, and
raffle tickets will be available after each Mass this
weekend. Also, we’re seeking donations of liquor
for a basket of cheer to be raffled. If you would like
to donate, please see Art or George after Mass.
BIRTHRIGHT ANNOUNCMENT
Birthright of Peekskill is getting ready to open our
doors. Your help is needed. We need your moral
support, your prayers, and your financial
assistance. Since we are not having our annual
Walk for Life this year, please send donations to:

SILENT AUCTION PREVIEW AND RAFFLE
This weekend and next weekend, we will host the
Silent Auction Preview and Raffle to benefit the
Building Fund. Stop by after Mass and bid on the
many items donated by businesses and
parishioners. Silent Auction items include David
Letterman tickets, Westchester Broadway Theatre
tickets, hotel stays, restaurant gift certificates, golf
outings, Renegades tickets, tickets to the Barclay’s
Golf Tournament and the U.S. Open Tennis
Tournament! The Silent Auction also will feature
an Ingelsina Baby Carriage and Diaper Bag with a
retail value of over $899 which would make a great
baby shower or Christmas gift!
There will also be lots of great raffles including a
weekend stay at a Hunter Mountain condo, Sansotta
Italian Specialties Basket, Antonee’s Basket,
Restaurant Gift Certificate Basket, Westchester
Weekend Basket, and a Lots of Luck Basket. Buy

RESPECT LIFE SUNDAY LIFE CHAIN
Sunday, October 6th is Respect Life Sunday.
Participants will stand, holding signs (available
along the route) and quietly pray for an end to
abortion. The Life Chain is a legal, peaceful and
prayerful witness that abortion is morally wrong.
Our local Life Chain will again be held in Mt.
Kisco on Main Street, between the Northern
Westchester Hospital and Moger Avenue from 2:00
to 3:30 pm. Please show your support for life!

It’s time to start thinking about spring flowers! The
Religious Ed Program is once again selling flower
bulbs to plant now and enjoy in the spring. Please
stop or call the Religious Ed Office to see a catalog.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
Volunteers are needed to help the Food Pantry with
Giving Tree request forms Monday evening on Oct.
21st and Nov. 18th, and Wednesday morning on
Oct. 23rd and Nov. 20th. Sign-up sheets are in the
Liturgy Room. Please stop after Mass and sign up
to help. Spanish speakers are urgently needed.
ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
Couples celebrating their 25th or 50th Wedding
Anniversary this year are invited to renew their
vows on Saturday, October 26th at the 5pm Mass.
