THE SNIPER
A sniper’s primary function in the battlefield is to provide detailed reconnaissance from a concealed position and,
if necessary, to reduce the enemy’s fighting ability by striking at a small number of high value targets.
Typical sniper missions include reconnaissance and surveillance, target marking for air-strikes, counter-sniper,
killing enemy commanders, selecting targets of opportunity, and even tasks to destruct the military equipment.
By this, the sniper creates casualties among enemy troops, slows enemy movement, frightens enemy soldiers,
lowers morale, and adds confusion to their operations.
A well-trained sniper, equipped with the correct camouflage for the specific environment, is a versatile supporting
arm to the infantry commander. The contribution of the sniper cannot be measured just by the number of casualties
that he inflicts to the enemy. Realization of the sniper’s presence instills fear in the enemy troop and influences their
decisions and actions.
Whether a sniper is organic or attached, he will provide the unit extra supporting fire.

THE SNIPER
The sniper’s role is unique in the battlefield because he has the ability to achieve targets at distances beyond the
effective range of normal rifle.
Snipers are involved in all levels of conflict. It includes conventional offensive and
defensive combat in which precision fire is delivered at long ranges. It also includes combat patrols, ambushes,
counter sniper operations, forward observation elements, military operations in urbanized terrain, and retrograde
operations in which snipers are part of forces left in contact or as stay-behind forces. Missing, hanging around and
shooting again is not an option in this “one-shot, one-kill” mindset.
The Ghillie Suit One of the most important components in the sniper equipment is his camouflage.
The Ghillie Suit is the type of camouflage clothing designed especially for the sniper’s function in the battlefield.
This unique camouflage makes it very difficult for the enemy to spot the sniper in any natural terrain. A soldier
wearing the Ghillie suit can be very close to the enemy and remain undetected still.
Technologies develops and manufactures different types of Ghillie suit styles for every kind of terrain, from dense
forests to dry, arid regions with a lot of dirt and sand.
Using one of these specialized suits can give the end user a huge advantage.
The Ghillie suits development takes into consideration 3 main parameters.
a. Functionality
b. Camouflage level
c. Durability
FUNCTIONALITY
Tar’s Technologies understands the needs of the different combat units, and together with the constant and
continuous relationship with fighting units in the IDF, strives to keep the end user with full operational capabilities.
All tar’s products are combat proven, and especially the personal camouflage systems which are used on daily
base by the combat units in the IDF.
With the Ghillie Suit, the soldier can move fast, crawl without making noise and find the best comfortable shooting
position to make the mission successful.
The Ghillie Suit is light and it is worn on top of the uniform.
It is very easy to manage, so the end user can put it on and take it of rapidly and very easily.
CAMOUFLAGE LEVEL
The Ghillie camouflage is what’s known as the real camouflage, because it follows and imitates Mother Nature.
Thanks to gravity, things that grow (trees, bushes, grass), grow vertically. The Ghillie Suit has a distinct vertical
orientation, without any horizontal lines which stand out among all the natural vertical lines. That is one of the
reasons the Ghillie suit blends perfectly into the natural environment and makes the end user invisible to human
eyes and different detectors.
Tar’s Technologies don’t incorporate shadow patters into the Ghillie Suit, those shadows are way too dark and
cause the end user to stick out in the open terrain.
Shadows in the Ghillie Suit, as in nature, occur naturally. That’s why there is no shadow pattern in the Ghillie Suit.
DURABILITY
The Ghillie Suit has been field approved to be highly resistant in any environment and any type of weather.
The material is strong, sewed to perfection and one size fits and adapts perfectly to all.
The Ghillie Suit is Fire resistant and water resistant.
The full functionality and the total camouflage response of the Ghillie suit, together with the unique scientific
materials, enable the Ghillie Suit end user to mimic perfectly in any natural surrounding.
