8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday - Friday
11 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturday
12:30 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday
Closed Mondays and Holidays.
Sunday hours are dependent on volunteer help.
ABOUT US
The Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve was
founded in 1971 to protect this unique
natural area comprised of a blend of
both upland and lowland habitats.
Located within Wisconsin’s Tension Zone,
a diverse blend of both northern and
southern Wisconsin plant and animal
species call the preserve home.
Over 60,000 visitors enjoy walking,
jogging, bird-watching, cross-country
skiing and snowshoeing among other
recreational activities at the preserve
annually. Thousands also participate in
educational programs, special events
and volunteer opportunities throughout
the year. With over 700 acres to explore
and witness the extraordinary beauty
of nature, you’re likely to find many
great experiences waiting for you
each time you visit.
