a Hurricane/Disaster Now!
In the event of a disaster, we would like for you to know as much
information as possible for advance preparation.
MCT belongs to the Shared Branching Network which allows our
members to access their accounts almost anywhere nationwide
just as if you were in the lobby of MCT Credit Union. For a list of
locations, visit the Credit Union Service Center website at www.
creditunion.net. All you need is the exact name of your Credit Union
(MCT Credit Union – NOT Mid-County Teachers), your account
number and a valid photo identification.
Make sure that you have your payroll check set up to be direct
deposited into your account – if that service is available to you. If
you are receiving a notice currently that your direct deposit account
number is incorrect, please have it corrected as soon as possible.
Drop by one of our five convenient locations and ask a Member
Services Representative for more details.
Be sure that you are signed up for Internet Banking and TESS
(Telephone Express Super Service). It is also important to have
a debit card. You may never use it unless disaster strikes – then
you will be glad you have one. These services are completely free
of charge to you and are proven ways to access your account 24/7
even if disaster strikes. Drop by any of our locations and one of our
Member Services Reps will be happy to assist you.
Always have your correct routing number and account number. The
MCT Credit Union routing number is 313187649. Any payments
you make or direct deposits that you receive will not process if you
do not provide the correct routing number and your correct account
number.
You may want to retrieve your important documents from your Safe
Deposit Box.
Lastly, PREPARE IN ADVANCE – do not wait. MCT Credit Union
will close once an order of evacuation is given. We appreciate
your attentiveness to this information. It will make your life a
lot easier!

Mid-County Kiwanis
met on September
19, at the Schooner
Restaurant, for their
annual installation of
officers for the 20072008 year. The newly
elected officers are
Hunter Faubion-president, Miranda
Faubion-Secretary, and Kathy BuescherTreasurer. The club also inducted
three new members. New members
include Julie Gauthier-Curriculum
Coordinator for PNGISD, Kevin
Hudspeth – Walgreens Manager, and
John Ritter – Manager/Partner Ritter
Lumber Company.
The evening also included presenting the
“Outstanding Kiwanian” of the MidCounty Kiwanis for 2007. The award
was presented to Kathy Buescher. Ms.
Buescher is the Business Development
Officer at MCT Credit Union. She came
to the club officially in 2006. However,
she volunteered over ten years with
the club from time to time beside her
husband and fellow Kiwanian, Jay
Buescher, Community Bank of Texas.
Ms. Buescher helped with several projects
this year including: Finishing out the
office of Secretary term for 2006-2007
after the current secretary had to step
down, recruiting new membership, and
aiding marketing efforts for the club.
Kiwanis International is a service
organization that “Serves the Children
of the World.” The Mid-County Kiwanis
club works to provide scholarships for
high school and college students. They
also provide leadership and character
building fundamental tools for students
and teachers at all grade levels.
