As a community service project we will be having a clothing drive for Manna House
for the next 4 rotary meetings. Manna House is a 501(c)3 Public Charity that provides
assistance to those in need and is supported by contributions from individuals,
churches, civic groups, and businesses.
As cold weather approaches Manna House is especially in need of warm clothing –
everything from jackets, coats, and jeans to work clothes. The most requested items
are sweaters, long sleeved shirts, and socks. They are especially in need of men’s
clothes and work boots. They also need sweatshirts and sweatpants for those in rehab.
Toiletries such as bath soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and lotion of any size
are also badly needed.
This is an opportunity for each of us to help those less fortunate. We will start
collecting your donated items next Wednesday, November 19. If you have any
questions or comments contact Judy Chassay at 256-679-9749.

On February 7, 2015, The Rotary Club of Greater Huntsville will sponsor a spectacular Gala dinnerdance and silent auction at the Westin Hotel at Bridge Street to raise funds for the benefit of the children
of Huntsville and Madison County. Our Gala beneficiaries are our own Rotary Education and Child
Assistance Programs (REAP and RCAP) with 50% of the proceeds going to our sponsored local charity
for 2015, Kids to Love. Our REAP and RCAP programs have aided more than 1,000 students in the
Huntsville city schools by providing eye exams and glasses and/or clothing to facilitate their
performance in school, and hundreds of foster children have received badly needed clothing. Kids to
Love is also a major supporter of foster children through their School Supply Drive, Christmas for Kids,
Meth Orphan and Scholarship Programs.
Redstone Federal Credit Union has already signed on as a Gold Level Corporate Sponsor for the Gala.
Please do not miss the opportunity sponsor to this spectacular community event.
