graded this at Excellent (8.5/10). 72. P. Fox & Son, Camden. Fox TM, amber ring seal beer.
An extreme rarity in this ring seal closure, and what a
great looking bottle it is. This is the bottle that used to
be owned by Jack Goldsmith, being displayed several
times. We bring you this great item from the Wayne
Harris collection. This bears some
damage to the top, the glass
being prone to fractures, we have
graded this as a Fair bottle (4.3/10). We have never seen a good
example.
Estimate: $2,500 - $3,000.
26. Summons & Co, Sydney.
Kangaroo TM. 13 ounce, pale
blue cylinder.
A superb bottle, just look at the
colour of this beauty. This bottle
has been polished, but is still
heavily embossed and will slot
in nicely to the finest of corker
collections. These tall cylinders
are somewhat rarer than the dump
shape corkers, with the large trade
mark and strong embossing, this
is truly a superb piece. We have
graded this at Very Good, it has
an unusual lip indent, we are not
sure if it is from manufacture or has
occurred since (7.2/10).

60. Trent Brewery, Lancefield Beer Barrel.
A very rare piece attributed to Bendigo Pottery,
this salt glazed 2 gallon banded barrel with slab seals
is a very impressive piece of pottery. The tap side has
a slab seal impressed with Trent Brewery, the rear
has a slab seal impressed with
Lancefield. It has a brass tap
at the bottom and a wooden
bung in the top, both of which
appear to be original. We have
not seen one of these sell for
many years, and have never
seen one with possibly the
original fittings. We have graded
this at Excellent (8.6/10).
Estimate: $5,000 - $7,500.

Arm holding dagger TM.
A very rare ginger beer bottle
from Melbourne. With their
links to the Moonee Valley
Cordial

Yoxall’s
Melbourne bottles are always
rare and subsequently highly
sought after. This is another
extremely rare item that we
have not seen at auction in

USING THIS CATALOGUE:
It is important to remember that we are an internet based auction house.
We provide this catalogue as a great alternative for those of you without
a computer, but must point out that there is much greater detail to be
found online.
For instance the condition description, while mentioning any major
issues is only a brief summary of the detail available online. Also there
are multiple images of each item on the online catalogue but only a single
picture of each one in this printed format.
It is important to familiarise yourself with our numbered grading
system as this will give you a good idea of what to expect. Very Good can
vary from a mark of 7.0 to 7.9 with a bottle graded 7.9 being significantly
better than one at 7.0 despite both being “Very Good” in descriptive
terms. These gradings are an average of our individual scores for each
item and are quite strict, many bottles shown at shows will fall between
6.0 and 8.0 according to our gradings.
Items coloured blue are from the Wayne Harris collection.
