W Ewangelii Pan
Jezus mówi, że
będzie wydany w
ręce ludzi, że
zostanie zabity,
ale trzeciego dnia
martwychwstanie.
Uczniowie
nie
rozumieją tych
słów, a mimo to jak
mówi
Ewangelia - boją
się Go pytać,
milczą. Być może
właśnie ten lęk
p r z e d
zadawaniem
pytań i rozmową
na trudne tematy
sprawił, że w
chwili
próby
apostołowie się
rozpierzchli i nie
potrafili obronić swojego Mistrza. Do trudnych decyzji i
odpowiedzialnych zachowań dorasta się przecież dzień po dniu.
Jako ludzie wiary musimy mieć odwagę, by stawiać trudne
pytania, szukać dróg wyjścia ze skomplikowanych sytuacji, a
przede wszystkim nie uciekać przed prawdą, nawet gdy jest ona
trudna i niewygodna. Człowiek buduje swoją wiarę i kształtuje
osobowość, począwszy od spraw drobnych, aż po najbardziej
skomplikowane. Każda sytuacja i każde spotkanie ma w jego życiu
swoje znaczenie. Nie lękajmy się trudnych pytań i niewygodnych
odpowiedzi. To właśnie one pomogą nam uniknąć milczenia i
chowania głowy w piasek, wtedy gdy przyjdzie zdać egzamin z
naszej wiary i naszego człowieczeństwa.
Jesus wanted on this
occasion to be alone with
his disciples, in peace
and quiet, to give them a
new teaching: about
humility and suffering.
This is the hardest lesson
of all, and one that no
one wants to hear. It is
also the most urgently
needed. There is no one
without suffering. Jesus
himself was to drain the cup of suffering to the dregs. God had one
son on earth without sin, but never one without suffering, wrote St
Augustine. However, instead of paying rapt attention, the disciples
were wrangling about their own importance. Anyone else would
have given up on them! But the Lord knows how to work with the
most intractable people. What were you arguing about? he asked.
They said nothing... because they were ashamed. They suppressed
their argument for the moment, and it looked as if the argument was
over. But no. It would break out again later. By their very
obtuseness they are teaching us something - just as a slow learner
sometimes helps the whole class by slowing down the teacher! No
doubt there was often much disagreement between these apostles,
and there is no need to suppose that they always hid it! No doubt
Jesus had to preside over many an argument. It’s normal to have
disagreements. Unless we are entirely pig-headed we usually learn
something. Many of the arguments and disagreements people have
are due to the fact that they don't say what they think; they say
something else, and then they feel they have to defend it just
because they said it. But even this ego-centered kind of exchange is
better than pretended agreement or (what is worse) enforced
agreement. We should not be afraid of disagreements in the Church.
A disagreement, wrote Kahlil Gibran, may be the shortest cut
between two minds.

Marian Załęcki przyszedł na świat w rodzinie Jana i Heleny z
domu Popis. Urodził się 18 grudnia 1935 r. w Woli
Wrzeszczowskiej, parafia Wrzeszczów, dawna diec.
sandomierska. Pierwszą profesję w Zakonie paulinów złożył 14
września 1954 r, a święcenia kapłańskie przyjął w kaplicy
Cudownego Obrazu na Jasnej Górze w dniu 29 czerwca 1962 r.
przez posługę biskupa Stefana Bareły. W domu rodzinnym
wychowywał się wśród dwóch braci i trzech sióstr. O. Marian był
człowiekiem niezwykłej duszpasterskiej aktywności życiowej.
Jako publicysta był współpracownikiem mediów katolickich w
USA, prasy polonijnej i Tygodnika Katolickiego Niedziela. Dnia
20 września 2003 r. o. Marian został uhonorowany przez redakcję
tygodnika medalem i dyplomem Mater Verbi za wieloletnią
współpracę jako korespondent Niedzieli z Amerykańskiej
Częstochowy. Aktywnie organizował i przez ponad 16 lat
wytrwale chodził w corocznej pieszej pielgrzymce do sanktuarium
w Doylestown - Amerykańskiej Częstochowy. Jest autorem
cenionego opracowania z zakresu teologii maryjnej - Fr. Marian
Zalecki's - Theology of a Marian Shrine Our Lady of
Czestochowa, 1975 (które zostało przetłumaczone na j. francuski i
włoski) i opracowania dotyczącego sanktuarium w Doylestown,
PA pt. Our Lady of Czestochowa. Prowadził rekolekcje dla wielu
parafii katolickich w USA - m.in. rekolekcje wielkopostne 13-18
marca 2004 r. w Atlancie. W wielokulturowym i wieloetnicznym
sanktuarium w Doylestown codziennie modlił się, po wiele godzin
spowiadał w konfesjonale, odprawiał Msze św. i głosił kazania dla
różnych grup narodowych. Był kapelanem Polskiego Harcerstwa
oraz grupy modlitewnej Magnificat. Zawsze z radością, mimo
dużej odległości, przyjeżdżał na Jasną Górę. 29 czerwca 1987 r.
o. Marian Załęcki świętował w jasnogórskim sanktuarium srebrny
jubileusz - 25-lecie kapłaństwa wraz z kolegami kursowymi.
Później, co 5 lat o. Załęcki przyjeżdżał do Polski, by na Jasnej
Górze świętować kolejne jubileusze kapłańskie – 29 czerwca 1992
r. 30 lat kapłaństwa, 29 czerwca 1997 r. - 35-lat, 29 czerwca 2002
r. - 40-lecie kapłaństwa. Już rok temu, w czasie badań lekarskich
lekarze wykryli u niego guza w jamie brzusznej. Po przebyciu
drogi cierpienia ojciec Marian Załęcki zmarł rano 18 września, w
święto Stanisława Kostki, czciciela Maryi.
Father Marian was born into a
large family on December 18,
1935 on the Feast of Our Lady
of Expectation, in a little
village Wola Wrzeszczowska.
Since the newly born boy was
quite weak and there was fear
that he would die, he was
baptized the very next day at
Saint Mary Magdalene Parish.
On the Baptism he was named
Marian after Mary because he
came into this world on her Feast. He finished elementary school
in 1951. In the years 1951-1953 he attended the public school
gymnasium in Nowe Miasto at the Pilica river. After graduation
from the Gymnasium Marian wrote a letter to the Czestochowa
Shrine and asked for admission. He joined the Pauline Order in
1953 at the age of 17. After one year of Novitiate in Leśniów,
Brother Marian made his temporary profession of chastity,
poverty and obedience on September 14, 1954 on the Feast of the
Triumph of the Cross. The same year Brother Marian started his
philosophical and theological studies in the Seminary of the
Pauline Father in Cracow. On August 15, 1960 on the Solemnity
of the Assumption of the Blessed Mother, Brother Marian made
his final, solemn profession at the Shrine of Our Lady of Podlasie
at the hands of the Father General Louis Novak. He was ordained
a Deacon on December 8, 1961 on the Solemnity of the
Immaculate Conception. He was ordained a Priest of Christ on
June 29, 1962 on the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, the Apostles
in the Miraculous Chapel of Our Lady of Czestochowa. In 1965
the passport was offered to Marian to go to the U.S.A. to help the
Pauline Fathers to serve at the newly built Shrine in Doylestown,
Pennsylvania. Father Marian arrived to this Shrine on December
8, 1965. Father Marian got involved in Shrine activities, especially
taking care of the visiting pilgrims of various ethnic backgrounds
and tongues. This service to the pilgrims became the main mission
of Father Marian at the Shrine for many years. He welcomed the
pilgrims, gave them guided tours, explained the history and
spirituality of the Holy Image of Our Lady of Czestochowa, the
history of the Shrine. In 1975 he received a doctoral degree in
Theology with a specialization in Mariology. His doctoral work
was translated into Italian and French languages. He was also the
chaplain for the Polish Scouts and Magnificat Group. During the
Marian Year 1987-1988 Father Marian introduced the daily
Rosary prayer at the Shrine and after the beatification of Sister
Faustyna Kowalska the Secretary of Divine Mercy, introduced the
daily recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet. On June 29, 2002
Marian joined his classmates and offered a Mass of Thanksgiving
in the Miraculous Chapel of Our Lady of Czestochowa, where he
was ordained a Priest of Christ 40 years ago. Father Marian
Zalecki passed away on September 18, 2006.
