th
April Show at Heritage Museum: The April 4
meeting will include the installation of officers, a pot
luck picnic, and the art show at the Heritage
Museum.
The association will provide the
tableware, etc. and the members should bring a pot
luck dish to be shared. The artwork should be at the
Museum by 10:30 as it will be judged by an outside
judge from 11:00 to 12:00. Judy Rogers will do the
demonstration during this period. The work must be
an original (not produced in a workshop), never
before shown in a TSAA show, hangable and,
preferably, have an easel on which to show it. The
museum no longer has easels. The artwork will then
be hung in the Performing Arts Center, so all who
wish to do this will be responsible for delivering
their piece there. It will stay there for one month,
coming down on May 3. Please obey the copyright
laws and make your work your own.
There is no entry fee for this show and there will be
ribbons and prize money for awards so please let’s
all ENTER!

Artist of the Month
Dee Kulp was chosen as
our artist of the month at the
March meeting for her
"Spring in Chelsea" - It's
painted from a photo taken
at the Chelsea Flower Show
in London. It's Watercolor
on Yupo paper.
A Message from Heather Risley
A big thank you to the nine other people who helped
to paint the fence on Tarpon Avenue. It looks great
and we have gotten a lot of fun - and complimentswith it. Thanks to Marie Adanuncio, Christina Davy,
Amy Kail, Jane Lawson, Elaine McCormick, Judy
Moakler, Heather Moore, Ann Warren, and nonmember Dana Witkowski.
Thanks also to the seventeen artists who came out
for the Art Walk. Some had some success with sales.
There were lots of people up and down the street and
they enjoyed seeing our artists at work.
We did not have enough people interested in going
to Raymond James by bus to see their private art
collection, but, please note that their Wildlife and
Western Art Show is on April 30th and May 1st. I
have gone for the past two years and have
thoroughly enjoyed it. It is open to the public and
free!!! You may also sign up for an abbreviated tour
of their extended collection while you are there.
They are located on Carillon Parkway in St.
Petersburg.
PAIT & PHOTO TARPO SPRIGS
The Public Art Committee has voted to partner with
us in planning the next Paint & Photo Tarpon
Springs. This is still our "baby" and it will be nice
to get some help.
TSAA new officers (Ann Clark, Trish Gregory, and
Heather Risley)voted in at the March meeting. They
look so happy now, let’s see if we can keep them that
way!
Everyone needs a little sunshine in her/his life and
Chris Tagaras, Sunshine Chairperson, is ready
to supply it to those of our membership who may
be under a cloud. 938-0895
