Competion in the MAC makes it tough for any team to defeat a foe more
than once in any single season, but the Blue Jays will be hard-pressed to keep Lycoming’s high-powered attack in check.
Wallenhorst’s 70 points (66 goals, four assists) leads a list of four Lady Warriors with at least 39 recorded points. Heather
Suit is the lead playmaker with a conference-best 39 assists to go along with 24 goals, while freshmen Sarah Wingerden
(45 goals, 14 assists) and Kelly Mack (34 goals, five assists) form a potent offensive trio when matched with Wallenhorst.
Freshmen Crystal Cody (15 goals, four assists) and Kelli Morsey (16 goals, two assists) are also solid offensive
weapons. Goalkeeper Kristina Peacock boasts a tidy 9.32 goals against average, good enough for fifth in the
conference.
Elizabethtown’s attack can be just as explosive. DiRico’s 61 points (38 goals, 23 assists) spearheads a potent offense
that includes fellow first-year standout Katie Foley (39 goals, 14 assists). Senior Danielle Grooms (26 goals, seven
assists) and sophomore Sarah Gilson (18 goals, seven assists) add sound secondary scoring options. Senior Michelle
Collier (14 goals, seven assists) and freshman Bri Duvall (11 goals, three assists) can also cause havoc in an opponent’s
defensive third. Goaltender Jenn Hawkins will miind the net for the Blue Jays. She finished seventh in the conference
with a 10.38 goals against average.
