Beginning in 2006, a cohort of up to 150 students will be selected each fall by the Office of
Admissions at Indiana University to enter the “Hoosier Link” program. “Hoosier Link” students
will live in IU Residence Halls, take a minimum of 26 transferable credit hours at Ivy Tech with
at least one IU course per semester, and maintain a 2.5 grade point average. Students selected to
participate in the “Hoosier Link” program will also be required to participate in various academic,

Grow Ivy Tech Reaches $2.89 Million
At a special holiday event on November 29th, Ivy Tech - Bloomington
announced “Grow Ivy Tech,” the college’s major fundraising campaign, has raised
$2,800,000 million.
Hitting the $2.8 million mark is a significant milestone in this campaign, and Ivy
Tech thanks campaign contributors and the community for their support. This
campaign is not about gifts, but about investments in ensuring the development
of a quality local workforce while changing the lives of individual students. It
is not yet time to declare complete success, but with a little more help we’ll be
there.
The November 29 campaign holiday reception was held to rally participants to help Ivy Tech reach its
campaign goal of $3 million. The evening included food prepared by local chefs including Scholar’s
Inn-Chef Chris Spears, Classic Catering-Chef Bobby Scank, Bloomington Cooking School-Chef Jan
Bulla-Baker and Chef Francie Hurst, Runcible Spoon-Chef Matt O’Neill, R Street Bistro-Chef Jackie
Deckard, Truffles-Chef Matt Smith, Puccini’s La Dolce Vita-Chef Gearry Caudell, Restaurant Tallent-Chef
Dave Tallent, Limestone Grill - Chef Tad Delay and Blu Catering-Chef David Fletcher. Wine pairings
were provided by Big Red Liquors. We also thank Craig and the Crawdads for their excellent music.
The $3 million campaign for private support is the direct result of rapidly increasing enrollment and
the addition of several new programs. The campaign will assist Ivy Tech in its effort to accommodate
growth in the life and health science arenas, increase scholarship funding, provide support for the Center
for Civic Engagement, and allow for future growth.
