Toad-ally Snax, Incorporated
Toad-ally Snax is a privately held corporation located in Bristol, Pennsylvania, thirty miles northeast of Philadelphia. The plant is
situated in a superb location to service the northeastern market and largest concentration of snack food consumers and
manufacturers in the US. Company principals are Darlette A. Jenkins, and Raymond A. Jenkins II. Toad-ally Snax has been
certified as a women owned business by the WBENC and is active in the community with fund drives and donations. Toad-ally Snax
also supports the community by hiring local applicants to fill many positions in the manufacturing facility and corporate offices.
Since incorporation in 1983, Toad-ally Snax has been manufacturing a quality snack food, trade named Choczels®. Choczels®, a
deliciously crisp mini pretzel covered in a creamy chocolaty coating. Sales of our product began to flourish in 1984 with the
introduction of a Tastykake (a regional snack cake manufacturer with DSD capabilities) 1.5-ounce private label bag of chocolaty
coated pretzels. These small bags stimulated sales of our Choczels®, into vending machines. As we began to gain distribution into
retail with our larger sized bags, Nestle entered the market in 1997 with their Flipz brand chocolate coated pretzels. Prior to 1997
and the introduction of Flipz, Toad-ally Snax was the largest U.S. producer of chocolate pretzels. The emergence of the Nestle’s
product effectively created a chocolate pretzel category. Virtually overnight our product gained national recognition.
Toad-ally Snax now manufactures chocolate coated and drizzled, snack foods including pretzels, caramel popcorn, with branded
names Choczels®, Hanky Panky®, Triple Play®, Popcorn Plus® and Sweet & Fancy®. Annual production capabilities are in excess
of fourteen million pounds.
Target markets for sales are grocery (through grocery, deli, produce, and bakery), C-stores, drug, club, dollar stores and vending.
With a variety of package sizes and display vehicles, Toad-ally Snax products demonstrate swift and complete sell through.
Our commitment to quality and service has been the success of our company. We are dedicated to impact the national snack foods
market by providing the customer with a quality product having excellent taste and a value price.
In addition to branded products, Toad-ally Snax also provides private label contract packaging/manufacturing many supermarkets,
dollar, drug and club stores and DSD snack companies.
We have fabricated much of our own equipment, and as a result, it is proprietary in nature. There is evidence that we run at far
greater speeds than our competitors, and, since our sole concentration is on chocolate-coated snacks, our lower operating costs
enable us to be more competitive.
