For seven decades, the Model 70 rifle has evolved and become the best hunting rifle in the
World. Although some people prefer yesterday’s Model 70 rifle, it is the current Model 70 rifle
that represents what is best in terms of quality, accuracy and reliability. The Model 70 proudly
enters a new era and this innovation and improvement process will confirm its reputation as

The innovation continues with the introduction of a new semi-automatic Winchester SXR rifle.
This rifle allows fast firing thanks to its gas-operated mechanism that reduces recoil is extremely
robust and provides formidable accuracy.
The new semi-automatic Winchester Super X3 rifle is light and has a new fine stock and a

Classification of the Model 70’s four breech box lengths.
1. The Super-Short Action (SSA) is designed for cartridges whose total length goes up to 6.1 cm.
2. The Short Action (SA) is designed for cartridges whose total length goes up to 7.62 cm.
3. The Long Action (LA) is designed for cartridges whose total length goes up to 8.6 cm.

The Ultimate Shadow’s stock is unique and gives you an excellent sensation, it is begging to be held and
handled. It has an ideal aesthetic appearance thanks to its fluid, streamlined silhouette; the sensation that the
Ultimate Shadow gives will seduce you. Thanks to its light design you can transport it to the top of the highest
mountain peaks. The comfortable, rubber-coated, moulded handling surfaces give this durable, reliable rifle
optimum control and comfort. This stock design is also synonymous with stylishness, robustness and lightness;
it will resist bad weather and intense use in the field. You will be impressed by the "Winsorb Technology" special
anti-recoil butt plate that gives the impression of very little recoil.
MODEL 70 THE ULTIMATE SHADOW STAINLESS CAMO
Covered with the most effective, common camouflage: the Mossy Oak® New Break-Up®, Camo Ultimate Shadow
rifle’s stock has the same silhouette and exclusive design as the Ultimate Shadow. The front and rear handling
surfaces are coated with a patented Dura-Touch® finish which improves the firing grip and comfort in all weather
conditions. An anti-recoil "Winsorb Technology" butt plate is also offered with this model. The Model 70 Camo
Ultimate Shadow rifle is also fitted with a breech box and a Stainless barrel which enables you to fire 270 WSM
and 300 WSM calibres.
MODEL 70
MODEL 70 CLASSIC STAINLESS COMPOSITE
The Classic Stainless Composite is solid and robust thanks to its numerous stainless steel components,
which are resistant to bad weather, such as the magazine base, the barrel, the breech box and various
internal parts. The stock too, which is made of a composite, is resistant to large differences in temperature
without this having an effect on the gun’s great accuracy. This model is fitted with a « Controlled Round
Feed » type bolt that is characterised by a wide jaw puller and an extremely reliable fixed ejector.
Controlled Round Feed (CRF) bolt.
This is one of the features that enabled
the Model 70 rifle to be voted "Bolt rifle of
the Century". The wide jaw puller slides without jerking and leans on about a quarter
of the cartridge’s base, which enables you
to control it perfectly as soon as it leaves
the magazine and enters the chamber, then
immobilises it until it is fully ejected. This
tried-and-tested design allows you to extract the un-fired cartridge even if it hasn’t
yet fully entered the chamber.

Tighten your shot pattern.
Numerous competitors’ bolt designs require the ammunition to be fully inserted in the chamber before their
extractor commits the extraction throat on the case. Until
this moment, the un-fired cartridge simply slides in front
of the bolt when it is moved, which can bend the bullethead tip when it is inserted into the chamber. A bent
bullet tip is often the cause of unexplained divergent
shots that widen your shot pattern. Over long distances,
these divergent shots could cause you to miss out on a
magnificent trophy or worse: injure an animal. This is
the second reason why the classic Model 70 bolt rifle has
been the hunter’s favourite for 70 years thanks to its CRF
system that guarantees that the ammunition enters the
chamber perfectly aligned.
Thanks to its exclusive chequering pattern and its excellent Schnabel fore-end, the Model 70 Classic Featherweight
looks like being the key product in the Model 70 range. It is a very stylish gun whose three-position safety device
and extraordinary accuracy you will also appreciate. A Pachmayr® Decelerator® anti-recoil butt plate is built into
the WSM models, whilst the standard calibres have a traditional Winchester Model 70 anti-recoil butt plate.

MODEL 70 CLASSIC FEATHERWEIGHT™
MODEL 70 SAFARI EXPRESS
The Model 70 Safari Express rifle is recommended for African big game hunters who require the most reliable and
tested bolt rifle on the market to achieve the best hunting trips of their lives. Comfortable to transport and quick
to bring to your shoulder, it is equipped with double anti-recoil lugs and a transversal steel bolt which reinforces
the stock to reduce the effect of cartridges with strong stopping power and to give you legendary reliability.
You will appreciate certain details such as the Pre-64 type jaw puller, the anti-recoil Pachmayr® Decelerator®
butt plate, the barrel’s grenadier ring, the foresight protection at the front and an express style rear sight. It is
available in 375 H&H Mag., 416 Rem. Mag. or 458 Win. Mag calibres.
Blade-Type Ejector

The bottom of the magazine and the mounting trigger of almost all the Model 70 rifles
are made from just one part, which gives
them a nice appearance as well as increased
rigidity and robustness in this part of the
mechanism.
Three-position safety device.
The Model 70’s three-position safety device
has proved its effectiveness; it has been
extremely popular with hunters and shooters for decades. Designed to be activated
using the thumb, the Model 70’s safety device doesn’t only block the movement of
the trigger like inferior quality rifles’ security devices. When the safety device’s selector is in the central position, the breech
can still be activated, which enables you
to eject un-fired cartridges when the safety
device is on.
Blade ejector. A blade ejector allows you to have
full control when ejecting a fired cartridge’s case.
Pull the bolt slowly backwards and the empty
spent cartridge comes out slowly, which is perfect
for shooters and vermin hunters. Pull the bolt backwards vigorously and the empty spent cartridge
comes out of the hole more quickly. As soon as the
spent cartridge has been ejected, you can insert
the next cartridge into the chamber that eliminates malfunctions caused by double chambering.

MODEL 70 COYOTE STAINLESS
If you are looking for a good rifle for vermin and big game, the Coyote Stainless is what you need. Capable of
exceptional accuracy over long distances, the Coyote model is fitted with a stainless steel semi-heavy 61 cm
barrel, a burnished steel receiver, a robust laminated stock and a fore-end that is perfectly adapted for rifle
rest, shooting stick or sandbag use. It is a splendid multi-use rifle designed for all situations and available in
different WSM and WSSM calibres.

on the selected Model 70 rifles – is
exactly what you need!

Extractor’s innovative design.
Just like the classic design of the Controlled Round Feed, this
innovative extractor immobilises part of the cartridge base
when it is inserted in the chamber so that it is inserted in the
chamber straight, which protects the bullet tip. This also allows
easy extraction even if the cartridge has not been fully inserted
into the chamber. Like a pusher loading, the CRPF extractor
blocks itself on the edge of the cartridge for easy and direct
loading in the chamber even when loading just one type of
ammunition manually. If you are a vermin hunter or a
shooter, the CRPF is the bolt system that will suit
you best.
The Coyote Lite Stainless model that has been made lighter, is the long distance hunting rifle par excellence.
It is fitted with a bronzed matt receiver and a semi-heavy fluted stainless steel 61cm barrel. Its very light Bell
and Carlson™ stock is made of a carbon fibre and fibreglass composite and has an aluminium structure where
the bedding is made. All this gives it great rigidity overall and extreme accuracy. Also, ventilation recesses on
the fore-end reduce the weight and accelerate the barrel’s cooling during long firing periods. Furthermore, the
Pachmayr® Decelerator® butt plate means that recoil is absorbed. (scope not included).

MODEL 70 COYOTE LITE STAINLESS
MODEL 70 STEALTH II
The heavy Stealth II rifle is what you need when excellent accuracy is required over long distances. The Bell
and Carlson composite stock with a matt finish has a chequered pistol grip, a Pachmayr® Decelerator® antirecoil butt plate and bedding made in the foresends aluminium insert for even greater accuracy. An additional
grenadier ring fastened to the wide, a flat fore-end enables a sling and a shooting rest to be added. A heavy
66cm firing barrel, a magazine bottom and a mounting trigger made out of one part means that the unit overall
has a greater mass and is more rigid. The blade ejector allows you to control the ejection force precisely, which
makes it easier to recover ejected cases. The Stealth II rifle is available in the 223 and 243 WSSM and in the
22-250 Rem. and 308 Win. calibres, and it is establishing itself as a new performance standard for demanding
shooters the world over.

MODEL 94 TIMBER™
The Timber rifle is a compact rifle designed to be fast and manageable but still
very powerful. Chambered in 450 Marlin, it includes a 46cm-ported barrel (vent
holes), which limits the effect of recoil. Fully adjustable XS® sighting systems
allow rapid, accurate aiming. The chequered stock includes a semi-pistol grip
and the three quarter magazine holds four cartridges. A Pachmayr® Decelerator®
anti-recoil butt plate enables recoil to be reduced. The receiver is countersunk
and tapped for scope assembly. Tracking guns par excellence, it will enable you
to stop the largest wild boar.
MODEL 94 TRADITIONAL-CW™ (BIG BORE)
The Traditional’s handling and grip are excellent thanks to the unit’s good balance and fine chequering.
This version will therefore be the ideal gun for large game hunting. You can even assemble a scope or red
dot thanks to its countersunk, tapped receiver. For maximum effectiveness when shooting large animals,
we suggest the 444 Marlin calibre.
MODEL 94 LEGACY™

This Legacy model is characterised by a high-quality finish American walnut stock with fine chequering and
a semi-pistol grip for great handling. The stock gives excellent comfort when using a scope. A longer foreend means that the hand is further forward, which gives perfect balance with the 61cm barrel. A magazine
along the entire length of the barrel and a push button safety device improve the already very aesthetic
appearance of the Legacy model. Its receiver is countersunk and tapped for scope assembly. Available in
30-30 Win., 357 Mag. or 44 Rem. Mag calibres.
Chambered for the 30-30 Win calibre. The Ranger model is the ideal rifle for roe hunters. An
all-purpose rifle, the Ranger has a traditional foresight, an adjustable rearsight, a stock and a
robust fore-end as well as a push button safety device. This gun is particularly well balanced,
which makes it very effective when firing.

MODEL 94 TRAPPER™
The Trapper model’s fast handling is just as ideal for “Cowboy Action
Shooting” type firing as it was previously in the hands of a sheriff in
the Far West. Just like a century ago, you will appreciate its compact
41cm barrel and its manoeuvrability for hunting indoors or when
transporting your Trapper in a rucksack, on horseback or in a 4x4
vehicle. The push button safety device is a return to the Model 94’s
original appearance, just like the saddle ring.

MODEL 9410® TRADITIONAL INVECTOR
The Model 9410 Traditional rifle’s right stock and push button safety device are a return to the appearance
and sensations of the original Model 1894. The Traditional model is designed for great manoeuvrability and
very easy aiming. The 61cm barrel, with interchangeable Invector™ chokes, allow you to fire all current
cartridges for rifles chambered in 2½".410 calibre, including Foster type rifled slugs for large vermin. A
modified "V-shaped" unaccentuated rearsight is combined with a TRUGLO® optic fibre foresight for a perfect
aim.

The Model 9410 Ranger rifle is the economical version of the Model 9410 Traditional. The reliable mechanism
and the smooth 61 cm barrel enable you to fire all current cartridges for rifles chambered in 2½" calibre
.410, including Foster type rifled slugs for large vermin. The tubular magazine along the barrel’s entire
length enables you to obtain a nine shot capacity. The choke with cylindrical boring produces excellent
shot patterns over average distances. A right stock and a TRUGLO® optic fibre foresight make mounting to
the shoulder and aiming easier.

Judge for yourself! The Super X3 is the big innovation in Winchester’s range in 2006. The
size of its stock, its grip and its fore-end have been studied to give the SX3 finesse as well as
exceptional handling. The SX3 is very light thanks to a tubular magazine made of an ultralight
alloy and a barrel whose weight has been reduced by its new profile. The SX3’s barrel is BackBored; it therefore enables you to obtain the cartridges’ performance to maximum effect. The new
battleship grey "Ultra Tough Coat" finish has the added bonus of lasting longer than traditional
bronzing. In fact, it is the most resistant finish ever applied to a rifle. Winchester’s legendary
manufacturing quality is of course on the programme.

A new design and innovative features give the new Winchester Super X3 Field a strong personality. The SX3 is ideal for
all types of hunting, in particular thanks to its 12 gauge magnum barrel de calibre chambered in 76 mm that enables
you to fire cartridges of different loads as well as those made of steel shot. The exclusive extremely reliable "Active
Valve" gas-operated system, which is adjusted automatically, significantly reduces recoil. A new generation anti-recoil
butt plate is also used to further improve firing comfort. The design of the grip and the fore-end also contribute to
the excellent handling and this gun’s vivacity.
The barrel’s Back-Bored technology and its Invector-Plus™ interchangeable choke system enable you to obtain perfect
shot patterns.
A unique battleship grey "Ultra Tough Cote" type finish is applied to the external surfaces to achieve excellent

With light loads (28 gr.), most of the With heavy loads (56 gr.), the Active
gases are used to operate the action. Valve self adjusts, venting excess
gases.

The Active Valve System. The Super
X3 has been refined to produce the
most reliable, fastest shooting and
softest recoiling autoloader available.
This simple system consists of a gas
piston with an internal Active Valve
that self adjusts to reliably fire a
wide range of loads. With light loads,
most of the gases from the fired shell
are used to operate the action. With
heavy loads, excess gases are vented
from the piston.
The gas piston and Active Valve operate
independently, exerting less pressure
on the piston for greater longevity and
efficiency than other gas-operated
autoloaders. The extremely short
piston stroke also limits the amount
of combustion gases that get into
the receiver for cleaner, more reliable
operation.

Good shot patterns are useless if your
rifle doesn’t shoot where you aim,
a Winchester rifle enables you to

above, the impact point tests with
the Super X3 (in red) significantly
outclassed the competition (in green
and in blue).
"Ultra Tough Coat" finish means ultra-resistant
finish. The new SX3’s unique battleship grey is
a high resistance finish which as well as having
a magnificent appearance, is extremely resistant
to scratches for years. The "Ultra Tough Coat"
finish is extremely resistant to corrosion even
in extreme conditions.

The force of contraction or the pressure exerted by the
barrel wall on the load is reduced, thus reducing the
number of deformed pellets fired
