Derek Daniels, Immediate Past President of the Northeast Arkansas Homebuilder’s
Association, volunteered all his time and effort to build this year’s NEAHBA Parade
of Homes Showcase House.
All the profit from the sale of the house will go directly to the NEAHBA to provide
funding for our Scholarship program, help defer the costs of our members continuing education classes, fund future projects, etc.

Derek Daniels grew up on a small farm in rural Minnesota, where he developed a strong work ethic and appreciation for
the benefits of hard work. After graduating from high school, Derek attended Winona State University, where he fulfilled
pre-requisites for admission into veterinary school.
From Winona, Derek continued his education at the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine, from
which he graduated with his doctorate degree in 1998. Derek spent the next 8 years practicing veterinary medicine in
Minnesota and Wisconsin, with the majority of Derek’s practice dedicated to dairy industry.
Derek moved to Jonesboro in January 2006, and took this opportunity to switch careers, starting Quality Homebuilders of
NEA. It was a logical career choice as Derek spent his college years in the construction industry to help offset tuition and
other school expenses. He takes pride in his career choice, which shows not only in the 60+ projects he has completed
since beginning his company, but also in the recommendations from those who work with him, as well as testimonials of
those whose homes he has planned and constructed.
