goal to resurface the courts. We are

The Barry's Bay and Area Minor
Hockey Association is made up of
two levels of hockey (house and
competitive) that registers youth
(5–17years old) from the Madawaska
Valley Township and surrounding
communities. Registration is open

Barry’s Bay Figure Eights Club
The Barry’s Bay Figure Eights Club
is a member in good standing with
Skate Canada, offering 40 sessions of
skating during the season, by trained,
professional coaches. Our season

Barry's Bay Sledge Hockey Club
Sledge hockey is an innovative team
sport that incorporates the same
rules and discipline structure as
regular ice hockey. Sledge hockey
players sit on specially designed
sleds, or ‘sledges’, with skate blades
under the seat. Two sticks are used
to not only pass, stickhandle and
shoot the puck, but also to propel
and manoeuvre their sledge. The Barry's Bay Sledge Hockey
Club is gearing up for our
second season and registration
takes place October, 2015.

The Combermere Martial Arts Club
offers Tuesday evening classes for
children and adults in karate and jiu
jitsu at the Combermere Community

and up, the two hour class runs from

The Polish Kashub Heritage
Museum/Park/Skansen. An open-air
ethnographic museum located at Wilno
Road North and Hwy 60, it was built
by the Wilno Heritage Society and
descendants and friends of the Polish
Kashub people in Canada. The Museum
is dedicated to the hardworking Polish
Kashub pioneers and tells the story of
their lives in Canada using artifacts,
furniture, machinery, tools, buildings
and homestead stones. This summer,
the main theme is the old school, the
rural one-room schoolhouses, and
early-day teachers and pupils, with
photos and memorabilia showcased in
the classroom area of the Log Shed.
