Altama Delta Corporation was founded in 1969 in Darien, Georgia,
where the Altamaha River meets the Atlantic Ocean. Originally a
children’s shoe plant, the facility was converted to manufacture
olive drab jungle boots for U.S. Soldiers serving in Vietnam.
ALTAMA moved its headquarters to Atlanta, Georgia in December of
1987 and today designs, manufactures, imports, sells and distributes
18 different styles of high performance combat, tactical and police
duty boots.

to thousands of military personnel

In 1991, ALTAMA developed a line of high performance combat boots for civilian use. This
line combines all the design elements of Mil-Spec boots with competitive fashion features
to enhance their styling. ALTAMA’s Commercial Sales division now accounts for almost
50% of the company’s revenues.
In addition to serving the US Military, the company has sold combat boots to military personnel
in over 70 countries. ALTAMA established its industry leadership positioning in the early
nineties and maintains it by listening to its customers. ALTAMA builds combat boots to satisfy
its customers’ requirements for performance, durability and comfort. ALTAMA boots are
high quality and reasonably priced—giving the consumer a very high value.

enhancing performance in the field.

Moisture wicking top liner and a midsole is molded EVA for “running shoe”
comfort.

slip - reducing friction and perspiration while improving stability.

Molded resin and nylon. There are no metal parts in the boot. Closed
“speed laces” make adjustment faster as the laces glide smoothly.
Upper Materials
Nylon and suede leather upper provides high strength to weight ratio.
Light-weight foam padding has been added to the collar, shaft and quarter
sections.

The hoplite was a heavy infantryman, the
central focus of warfare in Ancient Greece.
They were the first encounter assault warriors,
in front of saboteurs, archers and rams.
These soldiers first appeared in the late
seventh century BC. The most feared hoplites
were the Spartans. Famous in the annals of
warfare for their heroic last stand at the pass
of Thermopylae; Spartan hoplites were trained
from childhood to become an exceptionally

Exclusive Footbed Design (Patent Pending):
A new level of comfort has been achieved. A
unique combination of features results in the “best
ride” for foot comfort and performance.
This particular design is ideal for law enforcement and military
tactical applications. It has a defined heel for gripping terrain
on down slopes and for stability on ladders. The lug designs
are good on both hard and soft terrain.
- Multi-directional lugs provide traction for 360 degree motion
- Oil, Acid and Slip Resistant Non-Marking Sole
•The top surface of the bootbed is contoured following the
shape of your feet.
•It has an “adaptive arch”: meaning it is defined and fills
the arch space yet is soft enough to conform to natural
movements and flexing.
•The bottom section of the footbed is a firm foam material
known as injection EVA. This injection molded process
makes for a high quality support that retains it’s cushioning/
support for a long time. It doesn’t take a “compression set”
like more common foams.
•The top section is a softer molded EVA foam.
•This DOUBLE DENSITY feature can be likened to higher
quality sleep mattresses. A soft top layer and supportive
under frame.
•The design provides a high level of moisture dissipating
and ventilation.
•A multiplicity of smaller vent holes on the top surface and
larger holed in the firmer bottom section allow circulation.
This construction is fast drying.
•The top liner is an open screen mesh that allows air and
moisture to easily transmit toward the bottom of the footbed.
Under the foot, the material reduces friction: resulting in a

WAYS TO CARE FOR YOUR BOOTS
CLEAN
Remove excess dirt with a stiff brush or damp cloth. Rub surface with SADDLE SOAP and a moist cloth
to develop lather. Rub well into the leather and wipe off excess with a damp cloth. Repeat procedure if
necessary. When the leather is dry, buff it with a soft cloth to develop luster.

Make sure article is clean and dry before applying. Work a thin coat of MINK OIL into leather and
seams with a cloth or dauber. Wipe off excess immediately and allow to dry for several hours.
NOTE: Mink oil should not be used on suede (all Altama Desert Boots).
RESTORE
Remove all polish with a cloth dipped in household cleaning detergent. Shake well. Apply a LEATHER
DYE in circular strokes until leather is covered.
POLISH

(Full-grain boots only—not suede)
* If possible, clean with saddle soap to remove previous polishes and dirt. This sets up the leather
for a new coat of polish and will promote leather softening and the best results for shine.
NOTE: Do not use saddle soap on suede (desert boots).
* Apply polish with a cloth or dauber. Allow to dry then buff to gloss. For extra high shine,
apply another light coat, sprinkle with water and buff with a soft cloth.
* HONOR GUARD INSTANT SPIT SHINE - Shake well with cap on. Shoes must be clean and dry. Invert
bottle; gently press applicator against shoe to release product. Spread polish evenly. It dries to a shine.
* PARADE GLOSS - Apply polish with cloth or dauber. Let dry 1-2 minutes. Brush to bright lasting shine.
For heightened gloss, apply another light coat, sprinkle with water and buff with soft cloth.
WEATHERPROOF
Articles should be clean and thoroughly dry before treating. Remove dust and dirt by brushing. Spot
test light-covered leather and canvas for color change as silicones may impart a slightly darker, richer
tone. Hold can upright 7-10" away. Spray entire surface evenly. Do not saturate. Treat 2-3 times for
maximum protection, including leather soles. Allow 4 hours between applications and allow articles
to dry completely before using.
