CREATION OF THE ORACLE BASE/INSTANCE
FOR COSWIN
This step will create the ORACLE Instance/Base for COSWIN 7i.
An assistant will help you to create this Base/Instance also as all the Oracle objects
necessary to use COSWIN
An Oracle user ‘Name of the schema' (COSWIN by default with the Password by default:
COSWIN) acting as ‘DBA’ (administrator) will be created during this installation.
All the Oracle objects for COSWIN 7i are created on the schema of this user.

INSTALLATION GUIDE OF THE JBOSS SERVICE
FOR WINDOWS
Installation
1) JDK Parameters
You have to parameterize some variables of environment. They will be necessary for
Jboss to work properly.
For Windows NT/2000/XP, go in the properties of the work station (Right-Click on the
Work station, Properties), then click on the "Variables of environment" tab.
26
Iukcw7i_jboss.doc
24/04/07 – Version 5
Select "Path" and click on " Modify" (or " Edit").
Add at the beginning of the list the complete path towards the place where the JDK has
been installed, followed by "\bin". In the window below, the path is c:\ j2sdk1.4.2_05\bin for

Back to the precedent window, this time click on "New". Fill up this new window as
following, specifying in the "Variable value" part the path towards the place where the JDK
is installed.
2) Jboss parameters
Create a new variable of environment (As previously done for the JDK) called
JBOSS_HOME and ticking at the directory where the file has been uncompacted. This
one is necessary for Jboss to work and indicates its work directory
3) Installation of the Jboss service
Under Windows NT/2000/XP, add the following order in a window DOS :
Set in the directory :
C:\[Jboss installation directory]\bin
27
Iukcw7i_jboss.doc
24/04/07 – Version 5
And launch the file :
