 Día das letras galegas 2012 2012: A Basque year Basque Music Concert with NOKA We are celebrating a year of Basque courses at UCSB thanks to the agreement with the Etxepare Institute and our Basque lecturer Diana Palenzuela. JOIN US THIS FALL! Noka is a trio of Basque American women, who perform songs in Basque about women, particularly those using the ‘noka’ familiar female address form. Andréa Bidart, Begoña Echeverría, and Cathy Petrissans are from Chino, CA, and they hope to revive interest in songs about women through their music. They put on an amazing show -­‐ NOT TO BE MISSED!!
