Development of corporate activities
First projects in the former Soviet Union ASSMANN
BERATEN + PLANEN was already planning in 1975, e.g.
within the framework of the Kursk Steelworks.
Up until the fall of communism in 1989 further projects
were following, including for example the German Embassy
in Moscow, Sheremetyevo 2 Airport and Bashkiria Polyester
Factory. After the fall of communism ASSMANN expanded
with projects especially in the fields of food and automotive
industries. In 1998 it came to the decision to engage in
an active project development in Russia and the former
GUS states.
A closer cooperation with the Oblast (Region) of St.
Petersburg was following as well as several planning
activities in Greater Moscow including customs facility,
Mercedes Benz Moscow branch and others.
In January 1998 an ASSMANN BERATEN + PLANEN
Representative Office was opened and in 2000
OOO ASSMANN BERATEN + PLANEN , Moscow,
was set up as an independent planning office, equipped
with comprehensive licences.
Additionally in the years 2005 resp. 2007 branches in St.
Petersburg and Kaluga were opened.
OOO ASSMANN BERATEN + PLANEN
is equipped with comprehensive licences, among others for total design
services in the Russian Federation.

Situation today
Services and licences
With its present staffing level of more than 40 permanent
employees, the offices in Moscow, St. Peterburg and
Kaluga are in a position, in association with the other
ASSMANN offices, to offer the same broad range of
ASSMANN services.
With its many years of experience, ASSMANN is familiar
with the complicated Russian planning and approval
procedures, especially with regard to the legal peculiarities
and all the ins and outs of the building regulations. Our
Moscow office has all necessary licenses and is a member
of the Russian Chamber of Architects, so that we are also
kept constantly up to date with the latest publications.
Both technically and legally we are in a position to assist
companies at all stages of their projects, from the finding
of a site through the total design phase and all the way
to handover and commissioning. Experienced licensing
engineers are available in our Moscow office to deal with
all aspects of this process.
We are both a reliable consultant and an innovative planner
for our international and Russian clients.
