Youth Guide
to Nashville
via the
City Bus System
Effective May 2007
Intro
The city of Nashville has a lot to offer its youth. Through the
city’s bus system, young people can be connected to a wide variety of resources, such as libraries, parks, community centers,
restaurants, shopping areas, attractions, and youth services.
This brochure is designed to assist youth to more easily navigate around Nashville and its key attractions via its extensive
network of bus routes.
NavigateNashville is a compilation of locations and resourc-
es in Nashville that youth would be most interested in and benefitted by, and that are located on our most frequent bus routes.
The appropriate bus routes to reach each destination is listed
with all the various locations. This guide is intended to be used
as a starting point in determining where and how to navigate
through Nashville using the city bus system. Along with this
guide, you will also need the pocket schedules for the specific
routes that are listed for the destination that you choose. It may
also be helpful to review the Nashville MTA System Map and
the Quest Youth Bus Service brochure for more information on
the overview of the bus system and for more specific guidelines
on how to use the buses. Remember, you can always ask a bus
driver for help.
So, go out and enjoy all that Nashville has to offer!

Libraries
Nashville has many resources for youth, including an exten-
sive library system. Many of these libraries have special youthfriendly sections. In these sections, activities are included to
further the growth of learning and to provide an enjoyable place
to hang-out. Many of these libraries have board games and other youth-oriented activities, and during the school year there is
a program called After School Snack Attack where teens can get
free snacks. Also scheduled throughout the year are fun classes
and group activities, art exhibits and guest speakers.

Parks &
Community Centers
Nashville has a large network of parks with and without
community centers. At these community centers, there are a
wide array of different activities, including pool, board games,
basketball and ping pong. Many community centers also are
equipped with large open spaces to play games such as baseball, soccer and football. Most of these community centers
offer after-school programs that may include opportunities to
participate in sports, games, cultural arts, environmental awareness, fitness activities and even help with homework. At parks
without community centers, there is still plenty to do, especially
if you want to relax and hang out with friends on a nice day.
