As President of the United Way, witnessing the allocation process I learned
first-hand that this year the agency needs are greater than ever before. We
need more donors to step up and help our local families by giving to the
United Way of Winneshiek County funding these 17 deserving agencies.
And you should know that every dollar you give goes right back into the
local needs of our residents here in Winneshiek County, making your
donation a smart way to truly care for OUR community.
The requests we received this year are representative of the turbulent
economy that has swept our nation. If you can give up a lunch or dinner
out monthly— that small amount can truly impact the lives of your
neighbors. Please consider making a payroll deduction, an automatic
withdrawal from your checking account each month, or an outright
contribution—which are all ways to make your donation to the United Way
of Winneshiek County.
Remember to ask your employer if matching is
available.
Thank you for helping make our community even
better!
