During Halloween in
Hershey, PA
Hershey The Sweetest Place On Earth Delivers the
Sweetest Experience
October brings changing leaves, cooler temperatures, and
the transformation of Hershey into a festive Halloween
destination. Featuring safe, family­focused events and
activities ranging from roller coaster rides and a trick­or­
treat adventure at Hersheypark In The DarkSM to a flashlight
walking experience at ZooAmerica®, Halloween In Hershey
provides guests with three weekends of sweet family
entertainment and excitement. The fun takes place Fridays
through Sundays from October 14 – 30, and includes:
Hersheypark In The Dark
Hersheypark In The Dark features more than 50 rides and
attractions including 13 roller coasters and Halloween­
themed live entertainment. Guests visiting the Park will
experience:
Halloween­themed rides and experiences.
Lights out! Laff TrakkSM will have the lights turned off
during all operating hours. In addition, the Park will turn
the lights off on our three wooden roller coasters during
the last hour of each operating evening.
Hershey’s Trick­or­Treat Adventure featuring a candy trail
that starts at Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction and
continues through TreatvilleSM, a seasonal town inside
Hersheypark, for children 12 and younger (costumes are
encouraged).
Fall­themed food and beverage offerings, and live
entertainment including favorites “Screaming Mummies,”
a band of misfit mummies and their classic Halloween
tunes.

Creatures Of The Night at ZooAmerica
Included in the one­price admission to Hersheypark In The
Dark, guests are invited to bring a flashlight to experience
Creatures Of The Night® at ZooAmerica. This is the only
time of the year when guests can enjoy the Zoo after dark
and experience:
Observing the nocturnal habits of North American species.
Pumpkin treats being fed to select animals.
New this year…see our newest additions – two black
bears and two armadillos!
Separate admission is also available at the Zoo’s off­street
entrance.
The Official Resorts of Hersheypark
Stay overnight at The Official Resorts of Hersheypark for the
perfect fall getaway. New for 2016 is Hershey’s Water
Works at Hershey Lodge. The new indoor pool complex
includes two interactive indoor pools, Twizzlers Twists
Slides, Reese’s Water Walk, water play structures, and the

Hershey Gardens
Hershey Gardens lights up the night with more than 150
uniquely carved illuminated pumpkins and a variety of whimsical
scarecrows that come to life along the path some, during its
annual Pumpkin Glow. Kids ages 12 and younger are invited to
bring a flashlight, come in costume, trick­or­treat throughout the
Gardens, and experience the following activities:
Listen to a garden­themed story.
Collect candy treats at stops along the Gardens’ paths.
Watch live pumpkin carving demonstrations.
See a unique collection of live spiders and insects in the
Educational & Horticultural Wing of the Milton & Catherine
Hershey Conservatory.

The Hershey Partnership's Soup Cook-Off is a fun fall family event, taking place at
the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company at 21 W. Caracas Ave., Hershey, PA 17033.
Come sample a wonderful variety of soups created by 30-50 local chefs, both
professional and non-professional.
The event is organized by the Hershey Partnership which donates a portion of the
proceeds to the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company.
This year features the category of junior chefs, 11 and under and 14-17, to
participate in celebration of the 13th annual event. Visit our Hershey Soup Cook-Off
website, www.HersheySoup Cookoff.com to complete your Chef registration.
The public is invited to attend for an admission fee of $10 adults and $5 children,
10 and under to sample the soups and VOTE for their favorite in each category. At
2pm the ballots are tallied and awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place are presented to the
cooks in each category. This year don’t miss the PA Dance Sport Ballroom
demonstration of The Soup Dance!
In addition to tasting and voting on the soups, attendees may win one of the many
door prizes including our grand prize!
Activities include: Variety of soups to taste and vote 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, Door
Prizes/drawings for 1,000’s of dollar worth of products and gift certificates from

AACA Museum Update
As the seasons change so do our exhibits and events! We’re
looking forward to starting off the fall season with showcasing
the last few weeks of these popular themed exhibits:
Early Off-Roaders celebrating 50 years of the Ford Bronco and
75 years of Jeep along with many other unusual off-road
vehicles. On view through October 15th
Mods Vs. Rockers explores the opposing culture and views of
the motorcycle vs. scooter enthusiasts from the 1960s in the
United Kingdom. On view through October 15th, some will be
with us through the end of October.
Steampunk U- A Steampunk art
display with a reflection on recycled
gears and parts commonly found in
the automotive industry re-purposed
into both an artistic and functional

Automobile hobby! The AACA Museum has extended hours
and some special happenings -- New for 2016 – we invite you to
a special grand opening of our newly renovated Route 66
gallery as part of our annual Night at the Museum event
presented by RM Sotheby’s. Enjoy a plentiful variety of
delicious food and beverages with a cross-country Route 66 flair,
entertainment, automotive art gallery, silent auction and more!
Another highlight of the evening is “A Collector Car
Conversation” with Wayne Carini, host of “Chasing Classic Cars”
along with noted car collector Ralph Marano and moderated
by Bill Warner, Founder and Chairman of the Amelia Island
Concours d’Elegance.

orange vehicles along with some vintage
hearses. Our family friendly Trunk or Treat
event on October 22nd allows kids to
decorate a treat bag then visit a variety of
treat stations within the Museum exhibit
areas to collect treats provided by The
Hershey Company. Designed for children
12 and under.
November kicks off with our annual
Autos & Ales on November 4th with an
evening where you can sample a variety
of craft brew beverages while you enjoy
live entertainment and of course lots of
Museum exhibits. This event sells out
quickly, so don’t miss out!
The holiday season will then be upon us and we’re excited
to share the Museum decorated for the holidays with themed

VISITORS INFORMATION
• Wine, Spirits, and Beer: can be purchased at any Wine
and Spirit Shoppe, PA’s state-run liquor stores. The
Hershey Wine and Spirit Shoppe is located in the
Hershey Square Shopping Plaza - near Kmart. Wine
can also be purchased directly from local wineries. Beer
can be purchased from distributors and participating
taverns. The legal drinking age in Pennsylvania is 21.
• On the Roads: The speed limit throughout
Pennsylvania’s highways is 55-65 mph. Through town,
the speed limit is significantly lower and strictly enforced.
Please check local signage. Pennsylvania does have
seat belt and child restraint laws. Drivers and front seat
passengers must wear seatbelts. Children under four
must use approved safety seats. Children 8 and under
must use a booster seat.
• Transportation
Air travel: The Hershey area is serviced by two local
airports: Harrisburg International (HIA) and Lancaster
Airport.
Bus: Service connecting Hershey to Harrisburg’s bus
center is through Trailways Bus System 717-232-4251

Harrisburg.

Clothing is exempt which makes Pennsylvania a popular
spot for shoppers. Hotel occupancy tax in Dauphin
County, which includes Harrisburg and Hershey, totals
