FROTH-PAK ™ Foam Insulation Kit
FROTH-PAK ™ Foam Sealant Kit
FROTH-PAK™ Foam Insulation
Kit and FROTH-PAK™ Foam
Sealant Kit are two-component,
quick-cure polyurethane foams
that quickly expand to fill cavities
and penetrations (2"/50 mm or
greater) through walls, floors and
plates for pipes, vents and wiring.
FROTH-PAK™ Foam Insulation
Kit*** has a flame spread index
of 25 or less (Class A), qualifying
it as an effective insulation at
maximum 2" (50 mm) thickness
as well as an air sealant. FROTHPAK™ Foam Sealant is ideal for air
sealing smaller areas that do not
require a flame spread rating of 25,
as insulation might. In addition to
blocking out air infiltration,
FROTH-PAK™ products help seal
out moisture, dust, smoke, outside
noise and insects. Key areas to
seal inside the home include nonfireblocking penetrations, rim joists
and band joists, stud wall cavities,
ceilings/attics, crawl spaces and
basements and floors above
garages.
Sizes
Installation
FROTH-PAK™ foam is typically
sold as a complete portable kit
that includes pressurized “A” and
“B” tanks, plus dispensing gun/
hose assembly and accessories.**
For residential applications, two
FROTH-PAK™ Foam Insulation
Kits and four FROTH-PAK™ Foam
Sealant Kits are offered in standard
sizes, based on theoretical yield.
Refer to Table 1 to select the
kit suitable for your application.
Larger sizes, including refillable
systems, are also available. Consult
your Dow representative for more
details.
Complete operating instructions
are provided with each
FROTH-PAK™ product purchase.
Read all information and cautions
before application.
Properties
(1) Actual yield will depend on various factors of the application and the environment, including temperature, foam thickness number of foam spray
passes, the specific nozzle used, etc.
Unlike one-component foam,
which uses moisture as a curing
agent, FROTH-PAK™ foams are
chemically cured, significantly
reducing curing time. FROTH-PAK™
dispenses, expands and becomes
tack-free in seconds. The product
will skin over in 30-40 seconds
and will be completely cured in
minutes.*
FROTH-PAK™ foams can be
used in either interior or exterior
settings. If used in an exterior
setting, a coating or paint must
be applied for ultraviolet (UV)
protection.
FROTH-PAK™ foams exhibit
physical properties as indicated
in Tables 3 and 4 when tested as
represented.
Note: Avoid overfilling restricted
spaces. Chemicals exert force
during reaction, and expansion
of foam may result in substrate
deformation.

FROTH-PAK™ Polyurethane Spray Foam contains isocyanate, hydrofluorocarbon blowing agent and polyol. Read the instructions and Material Safety Data Sheets carefully before use. Wear protective clothing, gloves,
goggles or safety glasses, and proper respiratory protection. Supplied air or an approved airpurifying respirator equipped with an organic vapor sorbent and a particle filter may be required to maintain exposure levels below
ACGIH, OSHA, WEEL or other applicable limits. Provide adequate ventilation. Contents under pressure.
GREAT STUFF PRO™ or FROTH-PAK™ polyurethane foam sealant products should not be used around heaters, furnaces, fireplaces, or recessed lighting fixtures where it contacts heat conducting surfaces. The foam will
burn if exposed to open flames or sparks from high energy sources, and it will start to thermally degrade if exposed to temperatures above 240°F for long periods of time.
Building and/or construction practices unrelated to building materials could greatly affect moisture and the potential for mold formation. No material supplier including Dow can give assurance that mold will not develop in
any specific system.
Consult the label and Material Safety Data Sheet carefully before use.
