Seaworld
Een combinatie van een pretpark en dolfinarium! Voer de dolfijnen, geniet van hun capriolen en
probeer droog te blijven wanneer orka Shamu langs komt spetteren!
Een ander hoogtepunt is de achtbaan Kraken. Dit is de snelste, hoogste en langste achtbaan van
Orlando. Met een snelheid van 105 kilometer per uur wordt je meegenomen naar een hoogte van zo'n
50 meter en ga je zeven keer over de kop! Een echte aanrader dus voor de achtbaan-fan.
AQUATICA:
Aquatica profileert zich vooral door de combinatie van waterpret en ontmoetingen met dieren, het park
behoort dan ook tot SeaWorld & Discovery Cove. Zo zullen doorzichtige glijbanen door een
dolfijnenverblijf lopen. Een van de twee lazy rivers voert bezoekers drijvend op banden door grotten
met tropische vissen en langs kleurrijke vogels. De andere rivier is wat ruwer, met watervallen en
hoog spuitende geisers. Het park krijgt twee kunstmatige golfbaden naast elkaar, die onafhankelijk
golven kunnen produceren; de ene van anderhalve meter hoog, de andere gematigde, rollende golven.
Het waterpark van SeaWorld krijgt 36 glijbanen, waaronder een met acht banen naast elkaar. In totaal
is 2,5 hectare ingeruimd als strand. Voor kinderen zijn er een achttien meter hoog waterfort en een
kinderspeelplaats.
Busch Gardens
Busch Gardens is een combinatie van dierentuin en pretpark. U vindt hier verschillende shows met
olifanten, tijgers, alligators en oerang oetangs. Of beleef de geweldige achtbanen van Busch Gardens!
Kennedy Space Center
Het Kennedy Space Center ligt op ongeveer een uurtje rijden van Orlando. Trek een dag uit voor je
bezoek aan de lanceerfaciliteiten, het IMAX theater en de vele tentoonstellingen waaronder de enorme
Saturn V raket. Of wordt een dagje astronaut in de ATX-perience en leer meer over de onderzoeken
van het NASA programma. Beleef al het buitenaardse in het Kennedy Space Center!
Everglades National Park
Kijk je ogen uit in de Everglades National Park,
enige subtropische National Park in de VS!
Het park omvat een grote diversiteit aan
landschappen: bossen, moerassen, graslanden en
rivieren. Krokodillen en alligators wonen er naast
elkaar en delen hun habitat met vele andere dieren,
waaronder vele vogelsoorten als ook slangen,
schildpadden, herten, poema's, beren en vele
kleinere reptielensoorten. Ook kunt u hier
boottochten maken met de Air-boats!
