Faith Facts for our school newsletters during
Term 2 are quotes from Cardinal Jorge Mario
Bergoglio, aka Pope Francis, on the theme of
Porta Fidei, the Door of Faith. He says,
“Whereas a closed door harms us, paralyses us, separates us, the image of an open door has always been the
symbol of light, friendship, joy, freedom, confidence.
How we need to recover these things! ... What does
crossing the threshold of faith challenge us to do?”
In the words of Pope Francis...
Crossing the threshold of faith challenges us to discover that although it seems today that death reigns in its
various forms and that history is ruled by the law of the
most powerful or the most cunning, and although hatred
and ambition operate as driving forces of so many human struggles, nevertheless we are absolutely and decisively convinced that this sad reality can change and
must change, because “if God is for us, who can be
against us?” (Rom 8:31, 37).
Welcome back everyone Term Two
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the last week of Term One I attended a conference for
Auckland Catholic School Principals in Sydney at Mary
MacKillop Place. The focus was on the meaning of The
Trinity and Mary MacKillop, our Australasian Saint. I believe the last day of the term was amazing, with mufti and
Wheels Day a lot of fun. The school raised $479.90. Well
done everyone.

URGENT
2014 ENROLMENTS
If you would like your child to come to St Paul’s School in 2014 all enrolments
need to be in by the end of Term 2, 2013. The following process will be undertaken for enrolments as St Paul’s School is experiencing pressure on its
roll. The maximum roll is 416. If there are more applicants than there are
places available, enrolments will be prioritised in the following order:
 Applicants who are siblings of current students.
 Preference students who live in the Parishes of Massey,
Helensville, Te Atatu and Greenhithe.
 Preference students who are siblings of former students.
 Students transferring from other Catholic schools.
If we do not receive a pre-enrolment form for your child by the end of Term
2, 2013 we will assume you do not wish to enrol your child for 2014.
If your child is currently attending St Paul’s School you do not need to apply.
Please collect a Pre-Enrolment Form from the School Office.
