Community Workshop, Thursday, May 29, 2014
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Rohnert Park City Hall City Council Chambers, 130
Avram Avenue, Rohnert Park, CA 94928
S ave th e Da te! The City of Rohnert Park is holding
a community workshop to solicit public input on
the draft Housing Element. We encourage you to attend!
What is a Housing Element?
The Housing Element is part of the General Plan, and contains the
goals, policies, and implementation programs for the preservation,
improvement, and
development of decent housing for all economic segments of the
community. All California cities and counties are required to have a
Housing Element. The draft Housing Element covers the period of
2015-2023. State law requires the City to adopt the Housing
Element by January 31, 2015, and submit it to the State for
certification.
What is this workshop about?
The purpose of the workshop is to provide an overview of the draft
Housing Element and solicit input on proposed policy approaches
to address the housing challenges facing Rohnert Park. The draft
Housing Element will be made available in the coming weeks.

The City is looking for Rohnert Park elementary school student volunteers to lead the pledge of allegiance
at City Council meetings. City Council meetings occur on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month
in the Council Chambers at City Hall (130 Avram Ave.) and typically start at 5:00 p.m. If you have a student who is interested in gaining experience in public speaking by leading the pledge of allegiance at an
upcoming City Council meeting, please contact Carol Adams, Executive Assistant to the City Manager, at
588-2223 or via e-mail to [email protected].
Spreckels Performing Arts Center’s musical production of ‘Catch Me If You Can,’ opened Friday, May 9th at 8 p.m. The production is
based on the DreamWorks Motion Picture. Book by TERRENCE McNally; Music by MARC SHAIMAN; Lyrics by SCOTT WITTMAN and
MARC SHAIMAN; Directed by GENE ABRAVAYA Music Direction by JANIS WILSON; Choreography by MICHELLA SNIDER; Costume
Design by PAMELA ENZ
Based on the life of Frank Abagnale Jr., who, in the mid 1960s, at the ripe old age of seventeen, impersonated not only an Airline Pilot,
but a Doctor and a Lawyer as well, all the while traveling the world and passing bad checks for more than one million dollars. In constant pursuit - Agent Carl Hanratty of the FBI, who was determined to catch him.
This musical version of the 2002 DreamWorks film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks and Christopher Walken, pulls out all the
stops with flashy Las Vegas style production numbers, jazz and blues tunes, and a book that explores all the depth of the movie.
Catch Me If You Can deals with frank, sometimes adult subject matter and may not be appropriate for young people under the age of
seventeen. Don't miss this Northern California Premiere.
For tickets, call the Spreckels Box Office at 707 588-3400. Box Office hours are Tuesday through Thursday, noon to 5:00pm and one
hour before showtime.
