Clinical applications of implant dentistry have come a long way since introduction in the early
80s. As more implants are placed and restored, our standard for excellence in these restorations
from an esthetic, functional and long-term success outcome has increased tremendously. This high
standard is limited by numerous complications both from a surgical and prosthetic standpoint. This
presentation will discuss common and uncommon complications associated with implant prosthetic
restorations.
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to learn:
• How to anticipate and avoid complications associated with removable and fixed implant
prosthetic restorations.
• How to deal with the challenges of implant prosthetics will be discussed using clinical
examples.
