The Matthew Reabold Memorial Fund
team MVP, he looked for any
opportunity to get outside and
enjoy time on the course with
his father Butch and his
grandfather Joe, as well as
many other family members,
friends and teammates. After
graduation, he joined the golf
team at Keystone College where
he continued to stand out as a
well-rounded player.
Unfortunately, Matthew struggled daily with opioid addiction
which tragically led to an
infection in his eyes. After
several attempts to correct this
problem, he was left without
sight in his left eye, and also
lost most vision in his right eye,
leaving him legally blind and
limiting his ability to play
competitively. Sadly, because of
this disease Matthew passed
away at the young age of 27.
Matthew Reabold was a vibrant,
happy and talented young man
with an infectious personality
that left a lasting impression on
everyone that he met.
Matt excelled at golf while he
was a student at Jim Thorpe
Area High School. A two-time
The funds from this tournament
will go to the Matthew Reabold
Memorial Fund, which will be
used to raise awareness of the
growing opioid epidemic in our
society, its daily struggles, and
to help others in our local area
afflicted
with
this
same
devastating disease.
