RESTORE Premium Briefs
Skin continence care in one innovative product
The RESTORE® brief addresses two major incontinence issues: the
need to keep skin extra dry and the need to protect skin integrity.
It uses a unique dual core that wicks away moisture and provides
overnight protection. Superabsorbent polymers (SAP) trap liquids
deep inside the core and a high-tech acquisition layer in the lining
helps pull fluid away from the body to help protect the skin.
To help protect skin integrity, a layer of Remedy Skin Repair Cream
has been laid into the brief. A propietary blend of antioxidants,
amino acids, vitamins and dimethicone helps nourish and soothe
fragile skin.

Expert Support for Healthcare Challenges
Medline clinical programs support our customers with
comprehensive approaches to complex issues in healthcare. Two programs closely related to continence care are
the Compass: Fit Right program for F-tag 315 and QIS
compliance, and the Pressure Ulcer Prevention Program
(PUPP) that explores the causes, prevention, treatment
and documentation of these devastating wounds. Other
programs address CAUTI, hand hygiene, advanced wound
care and diabetes care.
Program Focus
Compass: Fit Right Program
The Compass: Fit Right Program is a practical, hands-on
resource to help you improve care outcomes and reduce
regulatory risk. The current release helps long term care
providers demystify the continence care portion of the new
QIS survey process, helping them be survey-ready.
The program includes staff training on many aspects of
continence care, including assessing voiding patterns,
incontinence types, treatment options, perineal care and
UTI prevention. Courses are on DVDs and come with program
manuals as well as plans, algorithms and protocols
you can tailor to your own requirements.
Patient and family education tools help keep
them engaged and involved with their or their
loved one’s care plan. Practical information and
tools for determining appropriate size and type
of continence products are included, as well as
financial tools.

Program Focus
PUPP: The Medline Pressure Ulcer Prevention Program
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have
received reports of over a quarter million preventable
pressure ulcers.1 Other published research from the CDC
reports found that more than one in ten nursing home
residents was diagnosed with a pressure ulcer.2
The PUPP program features training for RNs, LPNs,
administrators and patients and their families. Each
course addresses the specific needs of each learner. The
overall goal is learning to prevent pressure ulcers before
they occur.
Medline helps you take on this challenge with a comprehensive program combining education and training, bestin-class products and program management. PUPP has
been implemented in over 300 healthcare facilities and
now is available in three separate versions for acute care,
long-term care and the homecare/hospice market.
