PRESIDENT’S REPORT
How’s it all going.
Well what a rotten day family day was ( WEATHER WISE that is ).
But the day was unbelievable ! What a great crowd for a day like this
starting with our line dancers, the jam. So good thanks Mike, There was
some really good music played and enjoyed ! Songs old and new yes a
fine tribute to COUNTRY MUSIC.
Then there was the RAFFLE !!!!!! I’ve shown Joy how to do this for
many, many years and it’s worked the old football raffle draw wins
again. Yes how good to see Joy our ticket seller finally win one.
There was a little bad news for the day our special guest artist was not
well and could not attend, Hope all is well again. As for a special we had
something alright Stephanie Rodden- Lenzo stood up to the plate. How
good was this.
The festival has come and gone, I was unable to be there for the whole
weekend due to illness but have only had real good reports I sure hope
some one puts a full report in this news letter just so I can read it
Our big mid year cook up is on this weekend hope to see you there.
This will be the last report from me yes the A.G.M. this family day I have
enjoyed this last twelve months but it’s time for a clean out. So to who
ever stands for the committee I wish you well
Cheers Lee

FROM THE EDITOR
What a great weekend, full of talent, music and a great camaraderie between contestants ;not to mention the great entertainment both on Saturday night and on Sunday which began with the Poets Breakfast followed by
the very much appreciated Gospel Concert and the Gala Concert. Congratulations to everyone from Sponsors to organisers to volunteers to contestants to show artists. The Raiders were as awesome as ever and provided the usual professional backing.
I hope Lee Jones and Sylvia Richards will recover quickly from the flu and
that Lorraine McKendrick overcomes her complications from the operation.
This is my last newsletter and I would like to thank the SCCMA for the opportunity. This task will be taken by the well qualified Bill Yates.
