WHAT THE MIND CAN BELEIVE, THE MIND CAN ACHIEVE.
IT IS BETTER TO LIGHT A CANDLE THAN TO CURSE THE DARKNESS.
The family of ABS welcomes all Children to ABS VIDHYA MANDHIR. First I feel proud and I am thankful for the over
whelming response of all the Parents who have given their whole hearted support to our school by admitting their children.
In our vision of equipping the Future Generation with World Class Education and Environment, the response
from the parents by visiting our school have been very encouraging. Our Mission to provide holistic education and tap the
brilliance of every child to make them physically fit and to grow in to a good human being and responsible citizen has started
with various academic and co - curricular activities right from the first day of the School Started on 21st June 2010.
The New technique of education with various teaching tools like E-Pathshala, XSEED and Schoolmate have taken our school
to the world map.
Our Knowledge Power is headed by our Principal Mrs.Kanchanamala, with a powerful team of teaching faculties through
which the school is sure to reach new heights. The teaching faculty had a wonderful experience with XSEED training which
enabled them to face the students with modern and root level teaching. This system of education has made all the children
to think wider and larger in every theme and every subject they are taught .Our Digital System of teaching
transforms all the class rooms to Audio Visual Theatres. E-Pathshala programmes have given a new dimension in
teaching technology. We are sure to progress well as all children get to receive three dimensional idea and perfect
visualization of concepts along with updated computer instruction.
The SMS system of communication has taken a good shape and redefined the communications well among our parents. The
World Class furniture was well appreciated by parents and has comforted our children. Besides Academics, Our Children
are also educated on Moral Ethics every month. Our School in our own humble way try to inculcate the right human values,
self sacrifice and patriotism. I make it a point and address my students on Character Development, Discipline, Physical and
Aesthetic Education. May our efforts in this direction be more successful to serve the youth better.
TheYoga classes being part of our curriculam has given a new energy to our children.
The Children are thrilled to have been provided with large collection of Musical instruments and their participation and
performance during the regular daily prayers and Assembly have been truly appreciated by all and enjoyed by all children and
parents.
The Karate Classes by the reputed Karate Master Mr.Sabu joseph (Black Belt V BAN) has made the children to participate
with lot of enthusiasm.
The singing classes have improved the ability of children and very evidentful during our function.
TheWestern dance is being taught by Mr.Anand & Mr.Thangaivel Who are the disciples of
“Dance Maestro cine fame Kala Master”.

PARENT TEACHER MEET ON14.06.2010
The first Parent-Teacher meet was presided over by our Educational advisor an Eminent Educationalist Dr.C.Satish, who is
the Recipient of President Award. The importance of CCE, the new pattern of education of CBSE was explained to the
Parents of “ABS VIDHYA MANDHIR” .
Our Founder Secretary Mr.S.SUBRAMANIAN briefed on the objectives and goals of the school. He introduced the
Teaching faculties to the Parents of “ABS VIDHYA MANDHIR”.

X-SEED TRAINING
The teachers who were appointed in ABS Vidhya Mandhir took an intensive training from the X-seed academic co-ordinators
Mrs.Bhavani and Ms.Divya Kanal on 17th June .There is a periodical review training programme every month. Mrs Uma Iyer
Regional Manager, Divya Kanal and teaching faculties co - Ordinated the training program . On 8th September X-Seed
Academic Co-ordinator Ms.Divya Kanal was here to observe the practical implementation of the X-Seed curriculum, who
acknowledged the teacher orientation and Competence.
e-pathshala
E-Pathashala is Technology aided Teaching, Learning and Assessment solution in the 21st century that brings lessons to life and
creates multiple opportunities to learn in class rooms. Learning systems has been founded by large team of highly qualified
and dedicated professionals from IIT's and IIM's. E-Pathshala learning systems were awarded the “PC world WEB AWARDS
2008” for excellence in technology usage in the education category. It helps our School to imbibe innovation and best
practices through the use of technology.

The first incubate of BITS PILANI innovates 'Schoolmate' partnering with parents, redefining the communication well
among parents and keeps School Management AT EASE.

SCHOOL OPENED FOR CLASSES I TO VI ON 21.06.2010
Inaugural assembly was conducted in the presence of the Committee members namely our Chairman Mr.A.S.Shanmuga
Sundaram,our Founder Secretary Mr.S.Subramanian(Ramesh), Mrs.Prema Subramanian the Treasurer, with Mr.S.Palani
and all the other Executive Committee Members. The Principal Mrs.S.Kanchanamala addressed the children and passed
on the valuable maxim that pupils should adhere to. The Founder Secretary Mr.S.Subramanian delivered his inspiring
message to the children of Thiruvallur.
All classrooms are scientifically designed that there is speech recognition technology, focused on listening, speaking, reading
and writing skills. Inculcates critical thinking, Evaluates skills and knowledge of facts.
Focuses more on “ WHY” and “HOW” than on “WHAT”. Rich visuals with animations correlate difficult and abstract
phenomena with daily lives. Class room with good aeration , clean environment, lighting are connected to interactive digital

SCHOOL OPENED FOR CLASSES PRE KG TO UKG ON 28.06.2010
Nursery classes came to life with the twitter and sobs by the little folks. From this day the school started functioning with its
full strength of 407 pupils. EMERGE, ENERGISE, ENGAGE.
Here the learning begins with the Newest, most robust and exciting Interactive digital boards connected to a computer with
speaker system thro' the projector. In class rooms lesson becomes an entertaining multimedia presentation! Write and draw
over projected images, annotate in colour with multimedia pen and can run all computer functions such as running digital
video clips, cut and paste images and capture it all for the future use.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
On 15th August 2010, the first National festival was celebrated at
ABS Vidhya Mandhir. The Chief Guest , Honourable Group Captain
Mr.T.Sarkar from Indian Air Force hoisted our National flag in the presence
of Honorable Chairman of Thiruvallur Municipality Mr.Pon Pandiyan. Our
Founder Secretary Mr.S.Subramanian (Ramesh) gave a sonorous talk. He
addressed the children with a view to induce patriotic fervour and
commitment to the Nation. Group Captain Mr.T.Sarkar, stated the
excellence of IAF amidst the World Nations .He inspired the students to
choose National Defense as their career. The Chairman Mr.Shanmuga
Sundaram and the Founder Secretary Mr.S.Subramanian(Ramesh)
honored Thyagi Krishnan and Thyagi Rama Sami being special invitees.
The cultural programme presented by the students of ABS Vidhya Mandhir
was spectacular, and won a roaring applause. The Principal
Mrs.Kanchanamala, highlighted the value of freedom fighters who made our
Nation independent in the past and The Chief Guest who defends for Nation's
Security in the present and the Students who enjoy the freedom have a great
role to play in the future .

On Teachers' day The Founder Mr.S.Subramanian ( Ramesh )
and Mrs Prema Subramanian along with the Executive
Committee Member Mr. Saravanan greeted the teachers and
presented them with mementos and addressed the faculties to
keep the spirit going. The Principal organized a refreshing session
for the teachers to revisit the values and to reflect on the right
approach towards the group of mixed abilities. The Principal,
Mrs.Kanchanamala, fostered the team by highlighting how the class
room instruction can ensue a spiritual network between the Guru
and the disciples.The Day was of little pomp but had paved way for
inter personal relationship among the team members.

FIRST SUMMATIVE EXAM
The First Summative Exam for this academic year was conducted from 15th September to 24th September 2010.
TRIBUTE TO THE FATHER OF OUR NATION
On 24th September the first term came to a close. October 2nd ,“Gandhi Jayanthi”though
was during holidays, an audio visual programme was conducted to commemorate the birth
of the “ Father of Our Nation”.
DANCE COMPETITION
“Rock for the Rhythm”-Dance competition was held for classes I to VI on 27th October. The Dances of
three genres namely the Classical, the Western and the Folk were staged by our Students. The Contestants were adjudged by
Mr.Anand and Mr.Thanigavel who are choreographers of “KALALAYA DANCE SCHOOLS”. The Dance masters encouraged
the participants and assured of their co-operation to share up the testing of the students with dance as a passion.

CONGREGATION FOR UNITY
On September 9th 2010, the School assembly was oriented with Holy Kuran in view of saying Id.Mubarak.
The students recited the sloka for Lord Ganesh for the Vinayagar Chathurthi.
CO - CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: KARATE, MUSIC, DANCE, YOGA...
In order to introduce Martial Art, the school has appointed Mr.Sabu
Joseph., M.A.,The holder of Black Belt V Dan of Shito-Ryu Karate
School from Chennai to teach karate for as many as 80 children.The
Music department is headed by Isai Kalaimani Saravanan who
makes our children feel proud. Our Yoga class is headed by
Mr.Damodharan, B.P.ES., M.P.ED., M.Phil., Ph.D. Our Dance
master Mr.Anand & Thanigaivel from Kalalaya Dance School
come here to train the children and hone their skills in as a passion.

GRANDPARENTS' DAY: PRANAM DAY!
The International Grandparents' Day falls on October 1st. To
commemorate the occasion we celebrated the Pranam Day on
October 6th.Despite the fluctuation in the weather, the
grandparents of ABS Vidhya Mandhir honored our invitation and
made a brilliant participation. The students were fortunate to
receive the moral stories, poetry, anecdotes and pearls of wisdom
from the senior folks. The purpose of the event is to inculcate
values like revering the roots, conserving the culture and accomplishing their duties with
gratitude and humility. The children paid their reverence by taking “ASHIRVADH” and
showed their love by presenting handmade cards to their grandparents.The event turned out
to be invigorating as well as educative.As many as 50 Nana, Nanis were here.
The school thanks the senior citizens for their active participation. The Principal
Mrs.S.Kanchanamala reminded the students to learn a lesson from “The Banyan tree” in
which the prop roots support the huge tree when it gets old.

NAVARATRI CELEBRATION
The ABS Vidhya Mandhir children set up a “Golu” for celebrating
the Navaratri days. Students from various classes offered
Neyvediam and recited slogas during the auspicious days.Yuvana
of Class V, spoke on the significance of Navaratri and the
students took a vow to reorient their study habits on
Vijayadasami.

PLAY AREA
Play Area is the most favourite spot for all nursery kids .
The sandpit has been provided with Ankidyne equipments specially meant for the
play way approach.
Climbing on the Jungle gym, Taking turns with Merry go-rounds, bouncing on the
Trampoline develops their gross motor skills so that the physical growth of the
children is enhanced.
AIR CONDITIONED TOYS ROOM
A special zone has been designed exclusively for the Nursery children . Having the key concepts of Maria Montessori in mind,
Children cuddle in this corner to have real fun. Toys room nurtures the children with life skills and neuromotor skills.
Besides the toys room includes car rides, stage activities to train leadership skills and Public speaking. Our kids enjoy
puppetry and theatrical sessions in Toys Room.

Fancy Dress Competition Classes I To VI
The contestants from Classes I to VI took us to a different realm by their array of colourful and fancy display.As Words
worth said Our hearts leapt to see the Rainbow girl .Characters like Goutham Buddha,Superman , Spiderman and Zorro ,
Harry Potter , P.C.Sorcar,the Wizard enthralled the audience.
Abstract concepts like EYE DONATION , ECOFRIENDLY FASHION with Recycled Paper dress , Park,Trees that Pleaded
to live, Heritages such as,Thirukural , Christmas tree , The Seven Wonders of the world , Eiffel Tower including Portraits of
Ravi Verma came to life. Loshni who stood as a Scare crow shooed away all the pests in the farms around. Sangeetha whose
theme was the EYE DONATION gave a brilliant message on the noble gesture.

Our Transport Facility
Our School has got Modern and Latest fleet of buses which connects
all the villages in the surrounding areas.
The children who commutes by bus are taken care by dedicated staffs
consisting of Drivers, Conductors and Ayyamas. At present the fleet
consists of SIX buses and it is proposed to double the number of buses
in the coming calendar year.
