for those suffering losses in the devastating
floods in Victoria and, commitments already
made to the flood / cyclone relief appeals
for our Queensland friends.
Certainly, as individuals and businesses,
we must carefully plan our giving /
philanthropic programs to encompass the
groups we support – accordingly, we
shall be speaking with all of our sponsors
and supporters, over the next two months,
to assist in our forward scheduling for
luncheons and the Footmen Charity Golf
Day, to be held on Thursday, November
17, 2011 at Croydon Golf Club, “Yering
Meadows”.
FOOTMEN CHARITABLE TRUST
Seven local, business people, widely
experienced in “Not For Profit”
organizations, have accepted our invitation
to serve, on the Board of the Footmen
Charitable Trust, in accumulation and
distribution of funds, to people or groups in
necessitous circumstances, who come under
the umbrella of “Deductible Gift Recipient”
status. We are expecting approval for our
board, from the ATO very shortly, and
we shall be underway – meaning that all
donations, sponsorships, bequests etc. to
the trust, will be fully tax deductible.
The Footmen Club Inc. will separately, be
involved in charitable works, as current,
but, we have the opportunity to help those,
who often fall outside the welfare net, as
our club has always done!
As soon as we receive the ATO approval,
we shall be launching the trust and the
ongoing role of the Footmen Club Inc., to
all of our members, friends and, the local
communities.
MARCH 10, 2011 LUNCHEON
We shall have Mr. Cameron Burgess,
from Urban Life Church in Ringwood,
giving us an overview of their work in the
community, followed by our guest speaker,
