SCHOOL CLOSING/DELAYED
OPENING DUE TO WEATHER
In the event of school closing due to weather, you
will be receiving an automated call from our
superintendent. Also make sure you are listening
to local radio and TV stations as they will be
notified as early as possible.
Please remind your child to dress for the colder
weather as the winter months approach us.
Students may enter the building at 7:45 for
breakfast and all others at 8:05.
We appreciate your support in keeping our students
safe and healthy.
Please tune in to WKSN (1340), WJTN
(1240), WBEN (930AM), WGR/News radio
55: or television stations WKBW (channel
7), WGRZ (Channel 2) or WIVB (Channel 4).
Should delayed opening be called, once again you
will receive a call from our superintendent and it
will also be announced on the radio stations listed
above. Delayed opening will be either by onehour or two-hours. One hour start time is 9:30
two hour start time is 10:30.
Please make sure to notify the office when your
phone number has changed. This number will be
used for emergencies and school closings or
delays for global connect.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
On behalf of all Jefferson Middle School faculty and
staff we hope you have a happy and safe holiday.
Our Holiday vacation is from December 23 –
January 1st, with students returning to school on
Monday, January 4th .
Nurse’s Corner
Attention parents of all 5th graders.
All students entering 6th grade 2016-2017 (next school
year) must have documentation of Varicella and T-dap.
These immunizations records must be in their school
health records in the school health office from your
health care provider or the health department.
Parent recall of Varicella (Chicken Pox) is not
sufficient and cannot be accepted as proof of
immunity.

if you have any questions or concerns at

Nevaeh Erickson congratulations for being named Kiwanis
club of Jamestown’s “Terrific Kid for the Month” for October.
Nevaeh is in 6th grade. Her hobby is dancing. Favorite
subject is Math and favorite singer Taylor Swift.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Nevaeh enjoys watching Girl Meets World.
Top for Education Homeroom Pizza Party
Box Contest
January 4- 29th, 2016
The homeroom with the most Box Tops will win a
pizza party.
Each label is worth 10 cents and monies benefit
the Jefferson Library.
6-8 Jaguar Band Presentation
Tuesday, December 15 at 7:00 in the
Jefferson Auditorium
The Jaguar Band would like to present an
informal concert on the evening of Tuesday,
December 15th. At this presentation we will
not only show you what we've been working
in band, but how we've been working on it.
We will also perform one selection we are
learning for the February concert. All 6-8
band students are required to attend this
event and we hope all of the parents will join
us too!!
Kendall
Swanson congratulations for being named the Kiwanis Club
of Jamestown’s “Terrific Kid of the Month” for September.
Kendall is in the 5th grade at Jefferson Middle School. Her
hobbies are flag football, volleyball with friends and bike
riding. Favorite subject is Math and favorite TV show is
Clarence.
Kendall enjoys listening to Kelly Clarkson and
belongs to FACS club.
