Founded in 1952 by Harry Holl, Scargo Pottery is the longest
functioning pottery studio on the Cape, featuring the work
of five potters. The open studio space, situated in a unique
woodland environment above Scargo Lake, features the
distinctive high-fire ceramics of its five resident artists: wheelthrown and slab-built functional pieces, sculpture, tiles, lamps
and garden pieces, as well as exhibitions of paintings, jewelry
and other media.
