Use only the (+) and (0) switches on the 61LM
transmitter, the (-) switch settings are not used
ll switches that are depressed (down) in the ON
position of the old transmitter should be set to (+)
on the 61LM transmitter
All switches that are depressed (down) in the OFF
position of the old transmitter should be set to (0)
on the 61LM transmitter
Set switches 10, 11, 12 to OFF on the old transmitter, you
will use switches 1 thru 9 on the new transmitter for coding
purposes.
If any of switches 10, 11, 12 were in the ON position you
will need to recode the receiver
CHECK THE RESULTING CODE USING A CURRENT
LIFTMASTER RECEIVER, (if using a Security + 390freg
receiver clear out the old codes first). PRESS AND
RELEASE THE SMART BUTTON ON THE RECEIVER
THEN PRESS THE OLD TRANSMITTER BUTTON 3
TIMES SLOWLY. TEST THE 61LM TRANSMITTER BY
PRESSING THE TRANSMITTER BUTTON ONLY.
THIS UNIT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BY THE
FACTORY, THE PRECEDING INFORMATION ALLOWS
THIS TRANSMITTER TO BE REPLACED BY A
LIFTMASTER 61LM TRANSMITTER, PLEASE NOTE
THAT THE AVAILABLE CODES ARE DRASTICALLY
REDUCED
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CODE A 9 SWITCH BINARY
SEARS/LIFTMASTER/CHAMBERLAIN RECEIVER TO A
61LM TRANSMITTER, IT WILL NOT WORK, YOU MUST
REPLACE THE RECEIVER/TRANSMITTER OR THE
ENTIRE DOOR OPERATOR
