iflessi, bagliori, colori, iridescenze. È la collezione Colibrì con cui Sicis
amplia la sua caleidoscopica capacità di sorprendere e di dare un volto
diverso all’architettura e all’abitare contemporaneo.
Spettacolare la sua declinazione in versione “virtuale”.
Le tessere si presentano come pixel di un ipotetico monitor, e vanno a comporsi
in infiniti decori, segni, cromie. Ne derivano superfici che propongono giochi
percettivi indagati già dalla corrente pittorica dei “divisionisti” e che qui
prendono direzioni inaspettate.
Il limite allo sperimentalismo, per Sicis, non esiste e lo dimostra creando
una sorta di “Domino” dove le tessere segnano le superfici, le colorano, le
accendono e ne scompongono l’immagine, modificandone la visione.Così
nulla resta immoto negli spazi abitati dai suoi mosaici. Tutto è metamorfosi,
come l’anima e la vena creativa di Sicis. Proposta perfetta per quei luoghi
che chiedono di essere speciali, di tendenza e interpreti del proprio tempo.
Non solo ambiti domestici quindi. Ma discoteche, aree di transito (stazioni,
metrò) bar, hall di alberghi e spazi dove nulla può essere banale e prevedibile.
R
eflexes, glows, colours, iridescence. That’s the Colibrì collection. That’s Sicis
enhancing its kaleidoscopic ability to surprise and give modern architecture
and living a new look.
The “virtual” version is spectacular.
Tessera combine like the pixels of a monitor, creating infinite decorations, signs,
colour combinations. The images created look like those analysed by the “Divisionism”
pictorial current, going here in unexpected directions.
For Sicis, experimentalism has no limits and proves it by creating a “Domino”
where the tiles mark the surfaces, colour them, light them up and break up the
picture, continuously changing our vision of it. Nothing stays immovable in the
spaces lived by its mosaics. Everything is metamorphosis, like the Sicis creative
soul and spirit. It’s a perfect proposal for those special, trendy places interpretating
their times. Not just for homes. But discotheques, transit areas (stations, subways)
bars, hotel halls and spaces where nothing should be banal and predictable.
