Welcome
Public television is a national treasure and KBTC has been an important
community resource for 50 years. We welcome you to KBTC’s 50 th
Anniversary Gala. Tonight we celebrate five decades of extraordinary
television achievement for children, students, educators and families. We
also celebrate you – and the thousands of Western Washington viewers
who made these 50 years possible. Together, we have chronicled our
history, taught our children and expanded our citizenship - through our
local public television service, KBTC. Here’s to the next 50 years, thank
you!

Paula Kerger, President and CEO PBS
Paula A. Kerger is president and CEO of PBS,
the nation’s largest non-commercial media
organization with more than 350 member
stations. Since her arrival at PBS in 2006, Ms.
Kerger has made particularly strong
commitments to the arts, news and public
affairs, education, and the use of new
technology to expand access to public media.
Under Ms. Kerger’s leadership to expand PBS’
impact across platforms, PBS programming is
now more accessible to Americans than at any
time in public broadcasting’s history. Prior to
PBS, Ms. Kerger served for over a decade at
Educational Broadcasting Corporation, the
parent company of Thirteen/WNET.

Mark L. Walberg, Host of Antiques Roadshow
Host Mark L. Walberg started his
television career as an assistant at Dick
Clark Productions and quickly moved in
front of the camera as the announcer for
the popular game show Shop Til You Drop
and then as host of Burnt Toast, a sports
magazine show on ESPN. Walberg admits
to being a long-time ANTIQUES
ROADSHOW fan who watches with his
family. "With my 20-year career in game
and quiz shows," he said, "I know
ANTIQUES ROADSHOW has a winning
formula: the excitement and challenge of
finding out how much something is worth
gets viewers to tune in, and along the way
they get hooked by all the incredibly
interesting history."

Each silent auction item has a Bid Sheet placed in front of it.
The minimum starting bid is listed on the top line of the Bid Sheet
To place a bid:
o Legibly print your name/bidder number.
o Legibly print your bid amount.
o Indicate your bid in the space provided.
All new bids MUST be higher than the previous bid by the bidding
increment amount.
All bids must be an even dollar amount.
Any omitted information will make your bid invalid.
Bidders are responsible for paying for ALL auction items which they
win. There are NO Exceptions!
Closing Bids:
Any bids placed after this time will be invalid.
The highest bid at the close of the auction will represent the winning
bid.
Claiming you winnings:
You can collect your items then pay at check out.
Winning bidders are responsible for loading and transporting their
items home.
Unless otherwise stated, all auction items and services must be used
within the expiration date identified.
Paying for your winnings:
Payments must be made the night of the event, prior to receipt of the
item. We accept: Cash, Credit Cards, Check: Made payable to: The
KBTC Association.
Any bidder not making arrangements for payment in full upon closing
of the auction will forfeit the right to purchase the item(s) at the
discretion of the Silent Auction Chair and KBTC Association
President.
The Next Bidder in-line for the item will be offered the opportunity to
purchase the item.

Silent Auction, as allowed by the expiration date.
