Instructions:
1. To create frosted green crystals - Coat large green crystal beads with Etchall® and
let set 15 minutes. Rinse and dry. (Note: Normally, you can return Etchall to the
bottle for re-use, but since we are working on such a small surface with these
beads, I just washed it away). 2. Place large frosted green crystal on flat head pin, then add peach crystal. Create
loop at top and add jump ring. Make 2 of these.
3. To make golden birds - cut gold eye pin in half. Push eye pin through top center of
bird mold. Insert gold metallic Mod Melt into hot glue gun, fill mold. Let set 7-10
minutes until cool (you can feel from beneath the mold if it is cool to the touch). Pop out bird. Use scissors to trim any excess Mod Melt from shape (you can also
use a small piece of sandpaper, or an emery board). 4. Use jewelry pliers to bend eye pin upward and end over top, wrap to create loop for
jump ring. Add jump ring. Make 3 of these.
5. To create bee charms, place sea glass Mod Melt in high-temp glue gun. Push flat
head pin through the bee mold leaving approximately 1/4” extended above mold. Use glue gun to fill bee image in mold. Tip - If you use your fingers to gently pull/
stretch the mold a bit when filling, it is easier to fill the tiny areas like the bees legs,
etc. Place filled mold on edge of table so pin is hanging freely and does not effect
molded image while setting. Let sit 7-10 minutes or until cool (you can feel from beneath the mold if it is cool to the touch). Pop out bee. Use scissors to trim any
excess Mod Melt from bee (you can also use a small piece of sandpaper, or an
emery board). 6. Paint wings with Hologram Glitter Gallery Glass paint. Let dry. Paint bodies with
Meadowlark Multi-Purpose Satin Acrylic. Let dry. Paint bee legs and add black
stripes to bee body. 7. Bend flat head pin upward, bring other end around and form loop at the top to add
jump ring. Make 2 of these. 8. To make faux druzy charms, add clear crystal with jump ring to bottom of each
bezel. Fill bezels with Diamond Glaze. Add Roxs chunky glass glitter and stir slightly
to mix glitter with Diamond Glaze, adding more glitter as needed until you have the
glitter raised up above the bezel in some areas - you don’t want a perfect smooth
dome, but a more of a chunky “hill” of glitter. Let dry. Make 2 of these. 9. To make pink butterflies - Ink French Love Letter stamp with permanent black ink
and stamp onto clear shrink plastic. Follow manufacturer instructions to use Big
Shot™ and butterfly Sizzlits® die to cut 3 butterflies from acetate. Punch hole in
one wing of each butterfly. 10. Use heat tool to shrink each butterfly according to manufacturer instructions - in a
heat-safe box or container, hold butterfly with scissor tip, skewer, etc. Turn on tool,
plastic will shrink and wrap up on itself, then flatten out when shrinking is
complete. While still hot, carefully remove from box and bend wings upward. Let
cool. 11. Paint back side of wings with Camillia paint. Let dry. Apply Krylon gold leafing pen
to edges of butterfly. Add jump ring. Make 3 of these. 12. To make fairies - Ink JudiKins Butterfly Fairy stamp with permanent black ink. Cut
out each stamped image, leaving a blank space between wings for the hole. Punch
hole between wings. Use heat tool to shrink each butterfly according to
manufacturer instructions - in a heat-safe box or container, hold fairy with scissor
tip, skewer, etc. Turn on tool, plastic will shrink and wrap up on itself, then flatten
out when shrinking is complete. Let cool.
13. Apply sheer coat of Magenta Rose Gallery Glass® paint to back of fairy wings. Let
dry. 14. Apply thick coat of Sunny Yellow Gallery Glass® paint over dry pink paint. Let dry. Make 3 of these. 15. To make clay roses & leaf dangle charms - Push peach Makin’s Clay® from Earth
Tones set into smallest flower on Flower push mold. Remove flower and use
toothpick or flat head pin to make small hole in flower. To make leaves for roses,
push dark green from Vineyard Tones into desired leaf mold and remove. Use Olive
and Dark Green clay from Earth Tones & Vineyard Tones to make 3 small leaves
for each dangle charm. Tip: Excess clay can be trimmed with scissors or a craft
knife, but it is easier to simply keep the clay in the molded shape itself since you can
see through the mold when adding it to ensure proper placement. Store unused
open clay in zip lock bag with damp paper towel or baby wipe to keep fresh for later
use.
16. Paint front of each rose with Magenta Rose Gallery Glass® paint. Almost any paint
will work on Makin’s Clay®, but glass paint makes the finished piece look much like
porcelain. Let dry. I did not paint the back, as I wanted the flash of the peach tone
to show as the charms move on the bracelet. Paint leaves with Ivy Green Gallery
Glass® paint. Let dry. Place 1 flower and 1 leaf onto jump ring. Paint olive leaves
with Lime Green Gallery Glass® paint and dark green leaves with Ivy Green. Let
dry. Add jump rings to each small leaf, attach to each other ring to ring to make
dangle. Make 3 of each of these.
17. To make birds nests - mix small tiny amount of green clay, with small amount of
blue clay and larger amount of white to make a “birds egg blue” - amount of each
color will depend on how many embellishments you choose to make and how deep
a blue you wanted the finished mix to be. Mix small amount of tan from Earth Tones
with small amount of dark brown from Vineyard Tones to create swirled color (do
not mix completely). Store unused clay in a zip lock bag with a paper towel or baby
wipe for later use. 18. Press blue into the egg portion the mold, and make a ball of the mixed browns and
gently press in behind the eggs to make the nest. Remove from mold and use pin
to make hole in nest for jump ring. Make 3 of these. Let dry 2 hours.
19. Measure and cut chain to desired size to fit wrist. Add closure. Use jewelry pliers to
mount each charm to the bracelet. Add randomly, or in a pattern as I did so they
would be somewhat equally spaced. Tip: Easily make your charm bracelet a
necklace by adding a second piece of chain with closures to the bracelet!
