Welcome to Santa Skivvies Run
Welcome to
Santa Skivvies Run
Thank you for registering for Santa Skivvies Run, an
event benefiting the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
Santa Skivvies is a festive, mile long run through the
Castro. Currently entering its 7th year, Santa Skivvies
has grown from a small run with about a hundred
people to a festive event full of costumes, holiday
spirit, and of course, skivvies with over 350 people!
While Santa Skivvies Run is a fun run through the
Castro, it’s also so much more. Santa Skivvies Run is
also a major fundraising event for San Francisco AIDS
Foundation, which means that every dollar raised
funds the multitude of services provided by San Francisco AIDS Foundation.

Why fundraise?
Why fundraise?
San Francisco AIDS Foundation was founded
in 1982 as a grassroots community response
to the AIDS epidemic and its impact in San
Francisco. Now, more than three decades later,
we are one of the most highly respected and
influential AIDS organizations in the United
States. Each year, more than 16,000 clients
come to the foundation to access our free programs and services, and another 500,000
access our many educational resources for
up-to-date information on HIV prevention,
treatment, and care.
The foundation’s mission is to end the transmission of HIV in San Francisco and improve
access to care through education, advocacy,
and direct services in communities most
vulnerable to the disease. We are proud to
offer all of our programs at no cost to our
clients through the generous support of our
many
community
partners
and
individual
donors. Proceeds from our events directly
support San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Santa Skivvies Run Welcome Kit | 2

Be a rockstar fundraiser
Host a raffle online
Have an item you can donate to your fundraiser?
A raffle with a restaurant gift certificate, bottle of
wine, or concert tickets can be a good way to raise
money online and on social media.

Everyone loves baked goods - especially for a
good cause. Get a group of friends or co-workers
together and make a night of it!

You are hosting and providing everything they
need for a good dinner. All they need to do is donate to you at the door.
Create a fun challenge
Make it competitive by hosting a challenge. Tell
your friends “The first person who donates to me
