What is Poke Sallet
Follies?
Like its perennial friend, Poke Salad, the Follies is something many
people enjoy each spring in Athens, Alabama. A wonderful meal is
followed by two hours of laughs provided by local dignitaries and
other volunteers through skits, parodies, and frankly…foolish acts.
According to level, sponsors are highlighted in the program, pre-show
on our website and Facebook page, and during the show. Each year,
nearly 1000 people of all ages attend the event and thousands more
view the comical creations created for sponsors on our website and
Facebook page. Don’t miss this opportunity to spotlight your
business at this event that is raising funds to provide financial and
material assistance to the Council on Aging, the Senior Centers, and
other organizations and efforts based on our mission and their need.

Code of Ethics
The Foundation on Aging has adopted a policy to give first
right of refusal to those previous year sponsors at the Show,
Program and Commercial sponsorship levels. In addition,
the Foundation will actively attempt to avoid competing
businesses having sponsorship at the same level. All
businesses and organization are invited to place an ad
or sponsor a skit.

Table Scapes
Centerpieces are placed on each
table by local businesses at NO
COST. These businesses are
recognized at the tables and in the
program.
Guidelines
White cloths and napkins will be provided and used
on all tables. You may bring overlays to use only
around the centerpiece.
•
Tables seat 8 guests. Dishes, silverware, and
napkins will be provided. Please do not
bring your own. Each place setting will have
a dinner plate, bread plate, and dessert plate.
In addition, each table will have the
following:
o
Salt and pepper shakers
o
Small bowls for sugar and butter
o
Tea lights
PLEASE CONSIDER THE LIMITED
SPACE WHEN PREPARING YOUR
CENTERPIECE.
•
Tables will be cleared after each show so that
clean white cloths can be placed down.
Every effort will be made to put the
arrangement back the way that you intended.
Please help us by securing everything in your
arrangement so that it can be safely and easily
moved. Also, please put your name or
business name on the bottom of your
centerpieces.
•
Keep arrangements under 12 inches in height
so not to block anyone’s view of the stage or
communication among guests at the table.
•
Due to allergies, please do not use fresh
flowers or anything scented.
