Yelp!
Welcome to Shopapalooza 2012!
We’re thrilled to have you be part of LocalShops1’s annual Local Alternative to Black Friday!
The event, as you know, takes place 10 am to 4 pm this Saturday at South Straub Park,
which faces Beach Drive and Bayshore Boulevard, between the Museum of Fine Arts
and the Yacht Club in St. Pete’s downtown waterfront. Admission is free.
Vendor Instructions
Vendors should arrive 6:30 to 8:30 am, as early as possible. There are two check-in stations: one faces Bayshore,
the other Beach Drive. Go to the one closest to your zone (see Map to find zone) to get your exact assignment.
Electricity and/or tent: If you have reserved but not paid, bring a check made to LocalShops1. Cost is $40/tent,
$25/electricity. If you did not already reserve tent/electricity, it is unlikely we will be able to provide those to you. If
you’re using electricity, please bring your own 100-foot outdoor extension cord and tape to cover it with.
Set-up and parking: Unload quickly and park your car before beginning to set up. Please park in one of the Pier
lots (Dolphin and Pelican), along 2nd Ave. NE., or the nearby parking garage. Cost is $3 to $5 for the entire day.
Raffle, Food Collection to Benefit St. Pete Dream Center
Raffle! If you’d like to contribute, bring your gift item and a card that states your business name and description of
raffle prize (including retail value), to the check-in station. Businesses that contribute will be acknowledged during the
event, and will be thanked in post-event blogs and advertising. All raffle proceeds given to the St. Pete Dream Center.
Canned food collection: We are collecting non-perishable food items to help stock up the Dream Center’s pantry. Please take the food items directly to the Dream Center booth.
Black Friday Sales, Raffles, Swag!
What’s happening at your booth? If you have huge sales (25 percent off or more), raffles, swag or any special
surprises, let us know so we can do shout-outs from the stage. The better your offer, the more likely we will be to announce it. Please bring us a printed list of your specials/raffles/etc, and don’t forget to include your business name!
Let’s get the CROWDS here!
Shopapalooza has been heavily advertised online, in print and in person, and we appreciate all your help promoting the event. Please send out final reminders to everyone you know. Some of our ad highlights have included:
