Sunshine Introduces Two
Exciting New Programs!
Dream Come True Program
Sunshine Foundation hand delivered a dream to
Daniel, an 11 year old boy from Runnemede, NJ, who
has severe autism. The good news was made in person
by Bill Sample, Sunshine Founder and President
Emeritus, and long-time volunteer, Hank Blaszczyk!
This is the first of many dreams that will be hand
delivered in Sunshine’s exciting new Dream Come
True Program! “We hope these personal visits will
bring excitement about the dream-come-true for the
children and their families and show them how much
Sunshine cares,” says Bill Sample. Daniel’s dream
vacation to Disney World is scheduled in September.
The family will stay at Sunshine’s Dream Village!

Airport Greeters Program
Dream families will now be greeted by Sunshine
Foundation volunteers when they arrive at the Orlando
airport as part of Sunshine’s new Airport Greeters
Program. Special thanks to Tammy Tsirigotis, a
Sunshine volunteer, who greeted the August families!

Laura’s Dream Comes True
Laura is 12 years old and has Leukemia. She is from New
York, NY. Laura loves animals and dreamed of going to
Discovery Cove to play with the dolphins! Her family
stayed at Sunshine Foundation’s Dream Village
during their time in Central Florida. Laura’s favorite
part of her dream come true trip was interacting with
dolphins and other animals at Discovery Cove and
swimming with her family at the Dream Village! Laura
is seen in the picture to the right, playing with a new
friend she met at Discovery Cove while on her dream
come true trip to Central Florida!
The Sunshine Reporter is a monthly newsletter highlighting the children, donors, volunteers and

James W. Hegedus Memorial 5K Race
Sunshine Foundation thanks the family of James W. Hegedus for holding a
very special 5k run in memory of James. James loved to run and it was his
dream to compete in the Boston Marathon. Shortly after qualifying for the
Boston Marathon, James tragically lost his life at 22 years old. Every year
James’ family holds the James W. Hegedus
Memorial 5K Run to honor his life and his
longtime dream of competing in the Boston
Marathon. The funds raised from this day will
help Sunshine answer the dreams of children
on our waiting list. Thank you for making
dreams come true!
