The Power Factor Max Lighting Energy Optimizer (LEO) is
designed to save up to 20% of direct energy (Watts) on most
types of AC electrical lighting load.

Through its optimal load and supply matching technology, LEO
contributes to longer lamp life by reducing heat and lowering
power consumption. LEO’s adaptable design will also work

The Power Factor Max iSaver range is available with either
automatic or dynamic Power Factor correction. Our automatic
range is suitable for conditions with stable loads, i.e. chillers,

fluctuations occur, i.e. CNC machine shops, tooling

What is the technology used by Power Factor Max

Our LEO unit uses an advanced energy optimization sensor that balances
wattage with lumens output. LEO is able to reduce the watts consumed
by an electric light without affecting the perceived brightness.
The iSaver is a dynamic Power Factor correction device that instantly
matches the supply and demand of an electrical load. This reduces Total
Electrical Power (KVA) consumption, reduces current and reactive power
and enhances the efficiency of your overall power supply.

iSaver dynamic Power Factor correction can

Without noticeably affecting your light output
and by targeting your lights peak efficiency,
LEO will reduce KWh, immediately saving your

When do we see results?
iSaver will realise total power savings, efficiency
improvement, reduced line current and reactive
power as soon as the solution is turned ON. The
unit’s accurate digital display will detail status
change in real time. Most utilities base their current month's billing on the previous month's data.
It will take a full one-month billing cycle to see
actual results in your billing.

How does installation work?
LEO and iSaver installations and commissioning
is taken care of by our certified technicians, all
you do is sit back and save.
If I have a problem with the unit, does it
automatically cut off the power?
iSaver is designed with a fail-safe mechanism and
there is no interruption in power to your premises.

voltage regulator or a capacitor?
iSaver is a dynamic power factor correction device
that instantly matches the supply and demand of
the electrical load. This reduces Total Electrical

Engineering & Metal Fabrication
The client’s business is a metal fabrication factory, featuring fast changing loads such as laser cutting,
punching, welding and folding. These are all factors that contribute to an unbalanced electric load.
The load profile was ideally suited to our iSaver 70 featuring Dynamic Power Factor correction, together
with 7% harmonic filtration.
We were able to achieve the client's objective by improving his power quality and increase the site Power
Factor from .73 to .99 and reduce the overall electricity demand charges.

Seafood Wholesaler
A frozen and fresh seafood importer, distributor and retailer runs multiple freezers, chillers and lights. The
customer's objective was to optimize the installed capacity (as it was operating at close to full installed
capacity) and to reduce the existing electric bill by reducing demand charges.
We installed an iSaver 70 with Automatic PFC. This brought his PF to .995, providing a significant
reduction in the KVA, Current and KVAR, with an increase in electrical efficiency to almost 100%. This
had the effect of increasing the their load capacity by approximately 12%. In addition, we added a LEO 75
which will provide a reduction in his lighting of approximately 18% KWh.

Indoor Swimming School
A successful swimming school with two pools, a retail store, water heating, pumping, filtration, airconditioning and lighting.
We installed a LEO 75 unit to control the lighting in and outside the premises, a combination of
Fluorescents and Metal Halides. Immediate savings of 17% were obtained on the full lighting load.
An iSaver 70 with automatic Power Factor correction was installed which immediately increased the
efficiency of their mechanical pumps and motors ensuring even greater overall energy saving for the
customer.

Indoor Tennis Center
A leading indoor tennis facility featuring both outdoor and indoor courts, a Pro Shop, a cafeteria, offices and
support services.
The majority of the load is lighting, primarily driven by their Metal Halide 1500 watt lamps. Their Power
Factor was .89 which we increased to .991.
A significant part of their bill was demand KVA based. By installing both an iSaver 70 and LEO unit we
have achieved their expectation of an overall saving of around 20% from their total monthly bill.

Dairy Farm
A medium size Dairy Farm with over 570 milking cows, a milking shed, a chiller section and an effluent
treatment facility. The customer objective was to optimize the installed capacity (as it was operating at close
to full installed capacity) and to reduce the existing electric bill.
In this case study, after we installed the iSaver 70 there was a significant reduction in the KVA, Current
& KVAR, with an increase in electrical efficiency to almost 100%. This had the effect of significantly
increasing the load capacity of the milking equipment.
We anticipate that the penalty charges being paid for an inefficient electrical plant and a Power Factor
measurement of 0.83 would be eliminated, resulting in a much lower electricity bill.
