Handel: Messiah, HWV 56
Symphony in C teams up with the Greater South Jersey Chorus
for George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, one of the best-known
choral works in Western music. First performed on April 13, 1742
in Dublin, Messiah aroused unqualified rapture. Its success has
remained undiminished ever since.
