Bedwetting Alarms Are Effective
Bedwetting alarms are a mainstay for the
treatment of bedwetting. They are an easy first
step that provide a long lasting effect. Much
different than setting an alarm clock to wake your
child, bedwetting alarms sound in response to
urination, which varies in time from night to night.

both child and family are motivated to achieve
dryness. Most pediatricians recommend that
your child be at least 6 years of age.

Malem Wireless Bedwetting Alarm
Wireless technology transmits across the room
Bedwetting alarms help children learn to
achieve nighttime dryness by conditioning the
child to stop the flow of urine when sleeping. A
loud noise sounds at the first drops
of urine and awakens the child.
Over time, children learn to sense
the need to awaken in response
to a full bladder and contract the
pelvic floor muscles to inhibit the
flow of urine.
The key to success is choosing the right one.
Although most alarms sense moisture and
respond by making a sound and/or vibration,
there are many differences in the various models.
Considerations.
Wearable alarms have a small, wearable plastic
alarm box that attaches to the shoulder (or hip),
and a moisture sensor that attaches or is sewn
into snug-fitting underwear. Alarms are battery
operated so there is no risk of shock. Wearable
alarms require less urine to trigger the sensor than
pad alarms do.

a waterproof cover that is quiet, breathable, and absorbent yet so durable and
lightweight you can easily wash and dry it hundreds of times. While vinyl tends to reflect
body heat and create a warm sleep environment, this premium cover does not. In testing,
we found another big advantage over other waterproof mattress pads was its compact
size. Bulkier waterproof mattress pads took about twice the drying time – a big
